Born and raised here (in the US now). Thank you for documenting your journey. Moldova is not a top travel choice so it's hard to find many videos. Thank you for this treat! The city is charming but there is so much more to see there. Moldova is home to the largest underground wine cellar in the world and a lot of historical sites that are breathtaking. I love the city but I think the beauty and the soul of Moldova is in its countryside.

Always great to see and hear that people from all over the world appreciate our little country in one way or another :) We may not have much in terms of the typical european tourism/sightseeing, but we have some pretty beautiful nature and sights scattered all around the country, mostly outside Chisinau. The food is one of our strong points, I'd recommend anyone to visit Moldova and Romania to get a unique cuisine experience, smth in between balkan, slavic and turkish style, everybody will find something special in this domain, I'm sure :D

Wow I’m impressed with Moldova. It looks beautiful there. I love that the eastern countries have such gorgeous architecture. In the west old buildings are dilapidated from lack of maintenance and they look shocking, usually being demolished. Such a shame seeing as they can be restored.

I don't know if you already left the country. But if you're still here you can for on a tour to kricovo. It's a big underground city of vine. I know sound's cheezy, but it's really interesting. About park zone's. The city is currently divided in to districts. Boiucani Center Botanika Riscani Chiocana Telecentre Posta veche. The districts are usually divide with green zones. Skuleanca(buiucani) - 3 lakes and a park zone. The rose valley(botanica) 3 lakes and a park zone The miller valey, formaly known as the komsomol lake, you've been there. The afgan park(riskani), foliwed by 3 lake's. If you need any more info, just ask I'll be glad to share it xD

I visited Kishinev sept 2016.At that time most likely was work on the center , because most of the pathways were destroyed. Now it looks pretty nice as I see on the video. I wish to go there again. The small bus from the airport to the city was about 0.20 euro cent, one lunch was something 5 euro in restaurant and was so delicious. miss Moldova

It's typically not that hot in here. We've been in the epicenter of a Saharian heat wave for 1 month maybe, now it's getting better. Regarding the country overall, you've seen maybe 0.5% only. I think it's better to take some local guide to organize you a 2- day trip through various places (outside the capital). About that outside central market, you better had visited it. You'd get some nice content. Mainly for fruits and vegetables - super tasty. While it's not the best place to buy clother or shoes - bad quality and can be expensive. There are a couple of shops for ok clothes for good prices - Azart, Waikiki, Terranova. Regarding that beach & lake, the water is dirty and it's forbidden to swim there, but a couple of people choose to bath there.

Actually the city is much bigger, and there are a lot of buildings newer than soviet union, I live in one such building, my workplace is in another building built in the early 2020's, and overall, for the last 10 years or so - I didn't live or work in a building from ussr.

@@IulianYT I've been to the area with predominantly new residential buildings (forget the name of the street - either Pushkin or Gogol). The apartments are spacious and well-designed, but nearly broke a leg getting there - that bad of a pavement. Also, something tells me the Soviet buildings may well outlive the new builds (if the interior of the airport is any indication :-) Still, something old, something new - it is a nice city that was REALLY nice back in the day and has every potential to become REALLY nice again.

Про газ, когда война началась то да были проблемы но как бы весь газ мы импортировали из России а она нам резко повысила цену в 5 раз. Тут как бы да сложно заплатить. Но более дешёвый турецкий газ импортируем теперь и всё ок. Во время этого кризиса всё равно лично я не столкнулся с проблемой что в доме нету газа. Всё отлично.

Moldavian state and Moldavian language officially existed since the middle of the 14th century. In that way, rominian language is a nickname that was given to the Moldavian language, robbery of language, history and culture, information war for the purpose to provide classical racism, cultural genocide, and the destruction of identity and statehood of the Republic of Moldova. Rominian language did not exist in history, it is like saying the Queen of Great Britain speaks the American language, and the English language does not exist anymore.. So, to say romanian but not Moldovan language, is like saying soviet language but not russian. Отвечу вам как местный житель - многие из нас просто-напросто билингвы, то бишь мы в одинаковой (или почти одинаковой) степени владеем как румынским, так и русским. Бывает такое, что мы можем общаться больше на русском или на румынском, в зависимости от того, где и с кем мы находимся. Это просто особенность, на которую мы даже и не обращаем внимания особо. Кто-то текущую власть поддерживает, кто-то критикует - это нормально, так и должно функционировать демократическое общество, в отличие от России, к примеру, или других авторитарных стран. Мы к этому относимся проще :)

@@romanslavinsky803 а как в России к этому относятся? Насчёт Молдавии и простоты отношения я могу сказать как получал кренделей за то что по-русски разговаривал когда ехал к бабушке в село. Везде есть придурки, и это ничего не имеет общего из демократией.

to be fair, he didn't really show any interesting places or things (except for Ştefan cel Mare statue and Valea Morilor). there's a lot of beautiful places in the town and a lot of fun things you can do in terms of social activities, a lot of good restaurants and cafes too. for sure there are some ugly parts of the town but i feel like the good ones compensate for that.
