Tremendous photos and wonderful instruction. In 53 years of stills photography I've seen that pros who don't share their methods and make it all too complicated are never as successful and happy as Omar and his kin who love what they do, love their clients, keep it simple, and love to teach others. This video is way beyond excellent for beginners and beyond. So enjoyable.

Thank you for the velcro tape on the colour gel tip. I've been messing with rubber bands and duct tape for years, but that always ends up messy. To your beginners kit I'd add say any kind of 135mm lens in FF term; you gotta have some sort of a telephoto lens. For church reception at least. Course you'll not always be able to come close enough for the 70mm (FF) to fill the frame...

Great video and very informative. I've been doing photography for almost 9 years now and I've come to not like on camera work because I found it to be so finicky and inconsistent at times [I somewhat blame Canon's flash system for this as their TTL has never been something I liked] however, seeing your images have re-inspired me to want to give it a try again. Doing my best to be as consistent with my photos going forward and yours, definitely have a look that I like!

Thanks for the very informative video. I myself could never imagine being an event fotographer. Too stressy for me. Do you go alone on your events? Isnt it very hard to control the lighting in an event like you shoot in? I mean these are big halls and there is loads of action the whole time... How do you reposition your "backlight" for every shot? I am very impressed by your work. Thanks for the insight to it!
