I got into this game when I finally joined a group of friends who had been playing other games on line for years. This was the game suggested by one of them and we all went into it blind. Best money I have spent in years. 2000+ hours and climbing.

My introduction to Valheim was also my introduction to survival games as well. I had no idea what I was doing or how to play it when I first got started playing it. I had a lot of questions to ask the Internet and a friend of mine what to do, how to play it, etc etc. slowly I began to figure it out though and the deeper I got into the game the more fun I was having in it. I love how complex it is, the lighting, and how you just never seem to run out of things to do. The community, for the most part, seems wonderful. Everyone is more than willing to help out fellow Vikings. Whether it's writing guides or sharing building tips, it's definitely one of the most passionate fanbases that I've come across. Thanks for all you continue to do for us here on your channel, Zom! You're definitely my favorite Valheim builder here on KZbin! 😊

Very true, Valheim really is something special. Seeing the scenes with tons of players running together reminded me of when I used to play in a large group, I miss those times. 10/10 editing btw. looked really nice.

cheers mate, and yeah me too I miss the early days when there was like 6 of us running around the biomes getting murdered and then ending up in a death cycle lol fun days, reason I did this was a reminder to myself and others just how good valheim is with friends :)

I agree wholeheartedly. I was introduced to Valheim by my son. We had been playing Diablo3 and had reached a point where we were doing the exact same thing over and over. He thought this might be something I would enjoy. I had never played anything like this but loved it (even though I had no idea where this would go) even when struggling to figure it all out. Then things began to click. I joined an amazing server, met some of the most amazing people from all over the world. I even started a KZbin channel about this amazing game. I am still learning even after 5200 hours. And with each new biome and more adventures to be had, I know that I personally, will never be bored with this amazing game and this amazing community.

I got this a month after initial release, probably the best purchase I've ever made. Can't wait to get home tonight and get back to taming a certain creature with a buddy.

I found this game through a friend who jumped on it the second it was out. He loved it, but I didn't think it was for me - until I saw the game being streamed by a streamer I follow. He knew what he was talking about when he presented the game, and I was hooked. So, I'm not one of those who bought the game from the start, I'm a month or so late. I don't buy games that I think that I can play only once. I only buy games that I think I'll enjoy over and over again for the next couple of years. Valheim had me hooked from the moment I started it.

That is exactly what I look for in A game, replay ability, I think that is why I am a big fan of survival games because they have the best replay ability 😃

Truly, and wholeheartedly one of; if not the very best survival game I have ever had the pleasure of playing. This game, forever changed my life for the better. I still remember seeing one of my friends playing it on PC, and as soon as I saw the game; I knew I had to play it. Truly, this is the kind of survival games.

The single payer game had a issue for me which is combat beyond the swamp. Both the black forest and the swamp have the feeling that the biome is coming alive and trying to kill you which is really good but it fall flat in the plains where there isn't enough structures and you see the mechanics of the game in a way that starts to get annoying as in the pathing and circling of the player to then give the game options to spawn mobs off camera. If you spin back around fast enough you can literally see fulings popping out of thin air etc. Happily this doesn't matter in multipalyer so much.

Nice video Zom. Fantastic editing, this is a nice shift for you. I have been with you a long time, this is the kind of video content that does extremely well with the algorithm as well. I would encourage you to do more content like this, in the context of the valheim content you've already done. like "top 5 tips to building in the swamp" (as an example). When Ashlands fully releases, "top tips" content will take off. Cheers.

I love this game but the terrain in mistlands IS NOT FUN. It's going to make me start using devcommands.

Mistlands is one of them biomes you either love or Hate, and it is not one of my favourites, for some strange reason The swamp is my favourite biome.

I enjoyed the game up until Mistlands and with what I've seen of Ashlands, I'll be moving on to something else with it's release. It's building mechanics are second to none in the survival genre for me but the last content releases were too big of a letdown. Between the obnoxious mistlands mechanics and the entirely useless and unasked for Hildr "quest" content for Dress Me Up Barbie: Viking Edition, it killed my desire to continue to play or support the developers. Maybe someday a new game in the genre will come along that will interest me but for now I'll just have to keep searching. LOVE your content though Zom. Out of almost every other Valheim content creator with two exceptions, your build tutorials were second to none. Easy to follow, assemble, and always pleasing to look at. I've always loved how you give the layout before building to show the dimensions. Something few other content creators I've seen that do it effectively if at all. Thanks for all you've done and continue to do for the community.

@@sethivaltas619 Ashlands is basically Mistlands 2.0 in terms of environmental mechanics. No thank you. Nothing about Mistlands outside of the new building materials was enjoyable to me and they decided to repeat that with Ashlands.

@@sethivaltas619 same environmental hazards mechanics just "kek its 🔥". Mistlands had mists severely limited vision and hid dangers and monsters. Ashlands has constant meteor storms.
