Good old Hans Gudegast (aka Braeden) is always reliable, from Titanic to Dr. Forbin in Colossus: The Forbin Project. Nicely creepy here, but he does heroic (and equivocal) well.

Such a great pick, and a great review too. I am a big fan of this film. I was curious about it ever since I read a good review for it in Creature Features movie guide by John Stanley, and when I found out that Larry Cohen wrote and directed it? It was an instant watch as soon as I tracked down the VHS. And I loved it. My favorite film starring Eric Roberts if you ask me, and it's an unsung classic of the genre, that really deserves a DVD or Blu Ray release someday down the road as well as some more recognition. I mean who doesn't love the guy from Young and The Restless playing a psychopath? Some really fun stuff. The kind of film we definitely do not see nowadays anymore.

Eric Roberts is one of the all time great Batshit Crazy Actors, second maybe only to Nic Cage. Ever since i caught his terrifying part in Star 80 as a young kid, and then alongside Mickey Rourke in 'pope of greenwich village' ? and they took his thumbs + the horse laxative in the bad cops' shotglass + then the lye in the coffee... 'creepy' and 'Eric Roberts'?? Hell, yeah, but brilliant, too

Timothy Dalton Tom Selleck looking German? Even if you somehow don't know him as Victor Newman (The Young and the Restless), he was memorably Hans Deitrich (The Rat Patrol). Although honestly I'd guess nearly everyone who knows him as Victor Newman, even when they don't have a clue what his actual name is (much less his birth name.)
