I have been using the iMac since 2008. My last windows computer was XP & i had nothing but problems with the OS. In 1 year i had to format my Windows XP computer 3 times. My brother put on to the iMac & i have never looked back, love the iMacs. Last year i got a new iMac M3 chip 16 GB ram & i love it, so fast compared to my old iMac from 2016. I have just switched back to iPhone & got the 16 pro max, my first iPhone since the iPhone 6S. I loved my Samsung phones & last one was the S23 ultra, but i find i had problems with some apps. So i thought i will try iPhone again & it is running perfect with the apps i was using & i find the phone so much smoother than the S23 ultra. sure you can do more with the Samsung S series but the 16 pro max i have now i am loving it. Also its the same with Samsung with every new model. only very small changers, just like Apple do every year. You don't need to buy a new phone every year or two. Keep the phone you have for at least 3-5 years before upgrading.

I am glad I never went fully into the Apple ecosystem. I was thinking of getting the iPad Air M2 to replace my current iPad Air 3, but with releasing the M4 chips 6 months after the launch of M3 and Apple Intelligence coming out this month. I am going to hold out for another year or two. I want to see how Apple will phase out older Apple Silicon devices to force people to buy newer devices.

iPhone died with the 14/simtray. I’m buying OnePlus now. Apple lost a customer all on their own. I'd also like to point out the they didn't just slow down iPhones, they also did iPads, my ipad two ran like a champ until that happened and then it became a useless brick. I still use a 7+. The older phones may be slowed down or just slower. But they still do everything I need so I still use them.

I suspected apple was trying to force consumer commitment with how dependent the iPod was on iTunes and proprietary accessories. My suspicions were confirmed with their 1st gen iPhone. I was excited about 2nd or 3rd gen iPhones but nothing was gonna get me locked into their ecosystem. Apple is a toy company as far as I'm concerned. They make really expensive toys.
