TRIVIA: It is impossible to get all weapons on your first playthrough's save file, so it can never truly be 100% in that sense. It has to be New Game in Nightmare or AKUMU. Let me explain There are four difficulties (easiest to hardest): Casual Survival Nightmare AKUMU In the beginning, only Casual and Survival are available. Beating Casual unlocks Nightmare, while beating Survival unlocks both Nightmare and AKUMU. In order to get the Brass Knuckles (one of the best weapons), you have to beat the game in Survival or AKUMU, AND it has to be a New Game. It doesn't work if you beat either of these difficulties in New Game Plus. The way NG+ works is that you can only do it in difficulties you've already beaten in NG or lower. So, for example, if you beat the game on Survival, you can then play NG+ on Casual and Survival. This also means, for another example, that you can't play AKUMU on NG+ without having already beaten the game a minimum of two times (one to unlock AKUMU, and one to play a New Game in AKUMU). What many people don't know, however, is that you can return to earlier save files and play them in higher difficulties which was not possible at first. For example, if you beat Casual NG to unlock Survival NG, and then beat Survival NG to unlock Survival NG+, you can then return to that original save file, which was only beaten in Casual, and play it in Survival NG+. So when you unlock a NG+ for a higher difficulty, you can use that on all save files, even those you originally started in lower difficulties. That's why I had to mention that Brass Knuckles can't be unlocked on your original save file. Because even if you return to your original save file (let's say it was played on Survival) and do a second playthrough on that in AKUMU NG+, you will NOT unlock Brass Knuckles. I have done this exact thing myself just out of curiosity and it did not unlock Brass Knuckles on that save file. So to sum up: Brass Knuckles can ONLY be unlocked when beating Nightmare or AKUMU as a New Game (NOT NG+), yet neither of these difficulties is available from the beginning. So if that troubles your OCD for 100% completing games, you should not get too invested on your first playthrough. Theoretically, you can just speedrun a New Game on Casual and then start a New Game on Nightmare, where you'll actually be able to get 100%. There is nothing AKUMU can offer that you can't also get in Nightmare.
