Devin, coming from a welder, you certainly have more than enough aptitude to pick up welding/fabrication extremely easily. A great feature packed budget machine for you would be an AHP Alphatig 203XI. Spend $250-$300 on a 300/330cuft Argon bottle, and be in it right around $1,000 before consumables and a welding cart. Something like an Everlast PowerTIG 200 would be a similar budget machine.

On that exhaust, where ever you cut to add the vband, add a flex section for the pipe. Or add it somewhere after the downpipe.

Don't forget a flex joint in the downpipe somewhere, it'll help with the rattling since the assembly is only held up by the manifold bolts

The build looks amazing!! For me, I’ve never liked the blue wrap. I think if the car was wrapped yellow then it would look next level with that engine bay👌🏻. Great work👍🏻

Your skill set is already so diverse, it wouldn't be too hard for you to learn how to weld and then you can do your own intake and exhaust piping. It would save you so much money in the long run, but it will take time/repetition to get good at welding

Id look into clocking that center section of that turbo down, so its more vertical. Its ball bearing so i dont think its quite as big of an issue as the journal but you definitely dont want oil drain issues.

14:00 So black unless the blue is close enough to the bolt kit on the car otherwise it might stand out to much being a different blue and just takes away from the whole engine bay 20:00 If you stick with the yellow, I think you should take apart the tops of the orange coils to make them the same yellow as the rest of the engine bay :)

You should use the ghetto pipe as a template to bend up a new one. Just add a half inch of belly to clear the subframe. Use it to do the initial startup, but it’s an easy fix.

Suggestions for you. Take turbo oil feed from filter housing and not the head. Clock the turbo so oil drain is pointing straight down. I never post but saw this and figured I’d warn u.
