@@Giblet12 I don't really like the models per say, Krillin killed in his orange gi as well as Goku transforming into a Super Saiyan in a flawless gi isn't what I recall from OG DBZ. I really miss uniforms from older DBZ games, all we got in FighterZ was just colours. I guess it's better than nothing though, but I still miss battle damage...

I'm hoping that DBZ Kakarot puts much more care and TIME into important scenes like these. They gotta have good pacing (no awful pauses between lines), crisp and colorful animations with plenty of actual movement, and each of these scenes really need a decent length to play out. In the show, Gohan's transformation is so epic and satisfying largely because it takes its time. These recreations in the games just skip all that with some really uninspired... well, everything. So far, DBZ Kakarot looks like it's gonna fulfill these things much better, if nothing else. I am worried about other aspects of the game, however.

More so the story was a bit too short. I mean it came after budokai 1, 2 and 3. You’d expect them to give us that Budokai 1 treatment and give us cutscenes back, and the Budokai 3 treatment and give us the clashing system along with its vast stories and such. Instead it ended up in being Dragon Ball Budokai 1 HD Edition plus Broly😂. Ironically another Dragon Ball game WITH EVERY ARC (for it’s time) CAME OUT FOR THE PS2 A YEAR LATER(Infinite World), they didn’t even bother trying to port it to the next gen consoles😒. If Ultimate Tenkaichi had the battle System of Raging Blast then it would have been a success beyond our imagining. Hell the Xenoverse series probably wouldn’t even exist if Ultimate Tenkaichi was like Raging Blast. A Cac game with a great story/ original story mode and great gameplay? That’d be godly. But now that we have Xenoverse I’d say it’s not too bad, Xenoverse 3 will have to step it’s A game up though. Better cutscenes are in order.

I will never forget the first time i played budokai 1. Schemmel really did a good job on that one, and overall the game direction was amazing. Burst limit gets my vote though, never played it and didnt know it had cutscenes til the other day. Schemmel's best work is burst limit, no contest. The only thing that compares to both is kakarot and maybe xenoverse 1. But even then, its no contest. Budokai 1 and burst limit were incredible. Xenoverse's "NOW IM MAAAAAD" was AMAZING though.
