I would like to correct something here A recessive gene is neither necessarily inactive nor mutated by definition. Its effects depend on its interaction with its counterpart allele. A recessive allele can encode a functional or nonfunctional protein but does not inherently mean the gene is inactive.

Thanks for the nice content. I think introgression/admixture remains a significant problem in the field. For instance, as you know, in most cases, after the advent of genomics and the availability of big data (multi-locus data, I mean), a number of taxa show contradictions between their gene and species trees. Also, one interesting gap is how speciation takes place even in the presence of gene flow; I remember an interesting paper on blue whales published in Science Advances by Axel Janke's group that elucidates this nicely. What I've noticed is that there should be more general information on sex chromosome recombination, which plays a great role in evolution too. Currently, I see many people are talking about evolution, that sounds great but unfortunately, we are still far behind in the field. The mentioned literatures are too old. "A study on menopause in Chimpanzee" recently published in Science by Sir Kevin Group is even another interesting aspect that need a touch. Nonetheless, a paper in nature recently published on tail loss in human "on the genetic basis of tail loss evolution in human and apes" is worth reading. Hope that sounds interesting 😅

Can u explain where is the evolution in it!Only explanation I heard is they presume with large time scale these minor adaptations will lead to evolution(Note:Presume) Secondly once u go one level deeper origin of cell by simple elements becomes even more presumptive and to some extent fictitious story!The origin of a viable biological cell is still a complex thing to explain!
