It's incredible how such a beautiful soundtrack is only used once in the entire game

Even so, it really cements the importance of the track, and the importance of the event. If it was used as a leit motif for tracks of remembrance that would've been even netter though.

@@firescaw , I have to disagree with that second part, if they used it repeatedly it would have stripped this scene of a lot of it's power.

@@lightdrgn20 I absolutely agree. I just started playing Awakening a couple days ago, but wow did this song resonate with me. There was the struggle between Chrom going down the path of revenge or choosing righteousness, an great map, this song and don't even get me started on that gem of a character Mustafa. This entire piece set the stage for the final confrontation and who Chrom would become as a character, it was nothing short of amazing, and using this song again would've taken so much of the weight out of this scene.

@@lightdrgn20 the two main motifs of this piece are present in Prelude and Destiny and are already used numerous times throughout the whole OST, for example in Old Battlefield, "what if I'm not worthy of her ideals?" and Mastermind. I think the repeated use gives more coherence to the OST and can be used narratively to highlight characters and ideas. I mean, the Destiny motif sounds like it is Emmeryn's motif and Prelude's motif like it is Chrom's but it could be also Ylisse's motif and Don't speak her name uses both, it's awesome.

It's that what it makes it so beautiful and special

i still vividly remember how blown away i was when i heard this track for the first time, and i think the sheer emotional weight it adds to chapter 10 is one of the things that cemented awakening’s place as my favorite game of all time, despite having no prior experience with fire emblem

This is the most beautiful song from awakening... and they just keep making it better.

This is a song that really emphasizes how it feels to fall down from life. It's such a magical piece that enthralled me in Chrom's story and the whole game. Damn it was one of the best Fire Emblem tracks of all time. Not to mention everything that built up to then with the next chapter being so tear jerking with the music. Jeffery Epstein didn't kill himself
