I have many friends who say it's buggy and nonsense, but they haven't explored the lunge game as I explored it, and I can finally say with all my heart: Hello Neighbor, especially for plot and atmosphere, is one of the BEST STEALTH-HORROR GAMES NEVER CREATED. It is one of those games where the player himself has to reconstruct the events, as the plot is shrouded in mystery and you have to connect the dots. I really like the story of the full game. But making the game look more cartoony and removing alot of the neighbors mechanics (like hunt mode, cleaning the window, etc) didint make is as fun to play as the pre-alpha's and Alpha 1 which made it more interresting and fun.

My questions: is the guy we play as in act 3 really is Nicky Roth or is he someone else, what happened to Aaron, what happened to Nicky, in hello neighbor 2 will we learn more about Roger and Adelle Peterson, who are the forest protectors, why is Nicky's house gone from HN 2, why did the water tower change place, who's the detective, what really is the Thing, what happened to it and will it appear in HN 2, why the look of the forest protector from HN 2 looks different from the forest protector in the books, who's inside the guest costume, did the guest rebuilt the neighbor's house because in act 3 we can clearly see that it's destroyed, and finally why did all the people leave Raven brooks?

As for Nicky Roth, Yes, you are playing as him and he still lives there after the end of the game. The lore so far has not talked about Aaron after the events of the first game. Nicky's house is gone because it's probably demolished, As for the Water tower; Because of game development reasons. And the thing still doesn't have much lore, so we can only speculate on what it is. Hello Neighbor 2 takes place after Act 2 but before Act 3, so that's why it's not fully broken. And for the people in Raven Brooks, Mostly everybody left probably because of what took place there.

there are theories that believe that aaron was the kid locked in the basement, and it's implied a bit throughout the games that there's a boy there. although, there's a form of "the shadow man" that resembles a kid. maybe that could be aaron too somehow, even though the shadow man is the embodiment of fear did you know that originally nicky was supposed to be the neighbor's son by the way?

I really wish that they bring back the concept of the old Hello Neighbor pre alpha, because it a scary atmosphere and better lighting. The old games felt much more balanced and fun in the alpha days, and the artstyle was just beautiful. Now it’s just..meh, bland art style, bad broken neighbor ai, overpowered player, no shortcut or hunt mode for the ai, and the game is just overall broken. The alphas had less bugs than official release

The Prototype is (mostly if not entirely scripted/specific events.) Even if a theoretical "Playable Version" existed, it wouldn't be packaged or anything so I don't think it exists anymore in any form aside from the house model.

Look, I like Hello Neighbor, but as the years have passed, I have realized that they screw up their game so much, and you can't tell me otherwise: Hello Neighbor Hide and Seek, Hello Neighbor, Hello Engineer. All those games are bad, the animated series is also bad, and what is the worst? Apart from the fact that they are doing a lot of things to extend the story, they do not dare to improve.

This isn't Dynamic's fault, this was a decision by TinyBuild. Dynamic wanted to make a free DLC for HN, but due to time crunch and being assisted by TinyBuild, it was paid. Dynamic Pixels isn't at fault here.

question for next week: Why did you make the neighbor's artificial intelligence easier?

I’ve been a fan of the games since it started getting popular in 2016 and I’ve always wondered...what were some cancelled or unused ideas, like puzzles, characters, maps, art styles, etc. that didn’t make it into the full game/alphas? And if hello neighbor was released earlier, would it have had a port on the Xbox 360 and maybe even the new 3ds?
