The marketing manipulations strategies of this business are very professional. First, there are "browser extension" pages online that don't mention any price at all anywhere, but would not work once installed if the user is not subscribed on the Migaku site, which, in itself just talks about the smallest ambiguous price in the smallest line at the bottom of the main page (probably because some law forces the business to do it), or after clicking in the big button "start now for free!", which in itself is a manipulation based on the ridiculous few days trial with limited card creation per day, etc, etc, etc. This makes any natural search about price very ambiguous and inefficient for any consumer. All these practices exist as marketing anchoring strategy, when a person is statistically more likely to go further after already having been forced to perform some steps that seemed trivial at first. Second, you guys where saying one or two years ago that "the extension will be 100% free once the development is finished", which nobody knowing about marketing and noticing every aspect of your behavior ever believed, but it was a very good strategy to create engagement and good will in your community. Now, this phraseology slowly disappeared, but I guess the support created did not. Great job. The tools are good, and probably very efficient if used well, but it looks like you guys are so brainwashed by marketing schools that you don't believe in your product if not boosted by manipulation of your clients.

I feel like 5-15k is a wide range for 3* If possible I would like to separate it into 5-10k and 10-15k

Because of no Android support, only AnkiDroid, it's been very hard continuing language learning progress, so I haven't been paying attention to Migaku updates. You know I'll immediately sub to the Patreon if you have something there for me to use, right? I haven't so far if only because I wouldn't use it because it's so hard to learn on PC -- all my success has been due to being able to do it on my phone, with only bits of setup at my computer. If I could just have anything better than either Google Translating ebooks or bad Kindle paid dictionaries that don't work well, I'd cry. Wiktionary and DeepL work too well, and having them integrated in an ebook reader would be godly. Or Firefox on Android as an extension or anything. And any of the other amazing Migaku features would just be a plus.

@@halim312 We're putting thousands of hours of development time into this and other Migaku projects, and we think that most language learners will need to put in at least a few thousands hours into their language learning in order to reach a high level. With that perspective understood, does it not make sense that both the person learning a language would want to monetarily invest in their language learning journey and that the developers putting in thousands of hours would want to eat? I think the people always asking about things being free must still be quite young, I remember my perspective about the world until I better understood its realities. But anyways, yes, it will eventually be free, when it is you will know it is because it will be advertised as such lol.

To be fair, you don't need to be a monthly subscriber. You can "pay" $5 one time, and if there's any update that feels worth another 5 bucks to you, just pay it again. You're gonna spend a few thousand hours and make like 10-15k cards before you reach your goals anyway. Time is money. And for $5 one time all their tools will save you like 2+ hours our of your day, every single day, for the next like 2-5 years of your life. Paying a fiver for 700+ hours of my life back to do whatever I want, immerse, spend time with family, workout etc is a literally dream that you don't get very often in this life. I was spending 2.5 - 3+ hours in anki daily before Migaku. Now I spend less than an hour a day. I totally respect that not everyone has the $5 and it's a lot to a lot of people. But some people spend $100+ dollars on the new Genki textbook just to never use it. Its a worthwhile investment even IF its a lot of money imo.
