*Hermitcraft* ( I also like other SMP’s) I found mumbo-jumbo when he was doing season 4 of hermitcraft I watched a bit of season 3 then I watched a bit of season 4 But then season 4 started to end so I watched all of season 5 (by mumbo jumbo) S6 I watched mumbo and giran (and some over hermits sometimes Same with S7 and S8 I mainly watch mumbo and giran (but sometimes some other hermits)

The cube smp was easily my favourite throughout the years. Some members exploded like graser, hbomb, and grape applesauce. Parker even got his own tv show on Disney XD. It was such a great community and I’ve never even seen anything compare to it.

Maybe it was just me, but I was really into the Cube SMP, especially the vanilla series. They also brought in the UHC element that was popular late 2019 early 2020 with regular UHC mini series that allowed more pvp proficient players to shine alongside the builders. For me it was the prelude to Minecraft Mondays and MCC but with only MC creators and no specially made servers for competing.

Yeah I Always see videos like these leave out groups like the creatures or the derp crew too & they were pretty popular SMPs in their time. LDShadowlady & her friend group are also forgotten despite them having several different SMPs & being some of the few creators that thrived during MCs drop in popularity.

I love Hermitcraft but I know very little about the Dream SMP, mainly because the Dream SMP is staged, and that annoys me a little bit. Also I'm not a big fan of Dream. I love Hermitcraft a lot because of the people, the builds, the huge dedication they put in and watching most of their episodes, it almost feels like you are with them along the way of accomplishing great things. I hope Hermitcraft gains even more popularity and lives for a very long time.

The dream smp isn't bad, its just a very different thing to hermitcraft. Hermitcraft is the best vanilla smp, whereas the dream smp being staged allows for a more interesting story. watching hc is like watching minecraft, and watching DSMP is like watching a movie. It's very different but both of them are awesome

Well because the two SMPs are completely different thats why you find DSPM less entertaining than Hermitcraft. And maybe you see DSMP quite annoying not because it's "staged" but because you don't really consider the story they're trying to tell; maybe because you watch more hermitcraft which is more centered on the game progression and having fun with friends which is completely different from what DSMP is centered on.

SMP Live, whether you liked it or not, did have a pretty big impact on SMPs by not only being a fairly big reason for the resurance of Minecraft, but also bringing back what a lot of some earlier SMPs had, just straight, stupid fun

Wonder why the SMPs that started in 2019: SMP-live & SMP-earth, were not mentioned? IMO they had substantially been a factor in the comeback of Minecraft's Popularity, (especially with an older, wider audience than 'family friendly' hermitcraft.) I could go on a stretch here and say that carson and his former buddies are what brought back minecraft back in the limelight. But people choose not to see or delve into it because of all the controversy tossed here and there. Plenty of old big name minecraft youtubers was at one point invited into the server. Antvenom, sky, captain sparklez and fitmc are just few of those invited to atleast tour the world with the lunch club

It was map 2 out of 3. The name ZipKrowd was chosen in 2013 though. Being 22 years old the only SMP I watch is hermitcraft purely. Why I do is for the mega bases. Prototech player here. One of our biggest achievements is getting the barrier block to exist in our world. There are current plans to eventually get the barrier block, as well as the end portal frame and monster spawners as items which we can use at will. This method would also allow for nether portals in the end. Using the glitched end gateways we have set up and adding the nether portals in the end and end portals anywhere we like, we can go from anywhere to anywhere in mere moments.

I think probably the most influential SMP I saw a kid was iBallisticSquid's Race to the Moon and Mission to Mars series. They featured two teams playing on a server in a modpack, which most importantly included Galacticraft. They had to race against each other to be the first to create a rocket that could go to the moon! And then of course in the second series, to Mars! It was so fun seeing them work together and create their modded base, the whole time working towards creating a rocket. :D

it would literally take forever to discuss every single SMP that has ever existed in Minecraft, and there has been many that has been important in Minecraft Content history as well. starting from SMPs as old as Mindcrack, as popular as DreamSMP, as infamous as SMPLive or SMPEarth, as long running as Hermitcraft ect, and we're not even scratching the service of Minecraft SMPs. What kinda upsets me is that when talking to a lot of new MCYT fans, they seem to only think that DreamSMP and the Dream circle is the same as MCYT. it kinda upsets me a bit especially when people assume that the whole MCYT circle is cringe and toxic specifically because of that reason

That's true. I'm kinda upset about people fighting over what smp is better. I'm mainly into hermitcraft but I have nothing against other series. I also sometimes enjoy scripted role playing series, maybe not as often but sometimes it's fun to watch. Everyone has a different taste in what they like to watch and maybe you like dream smp better, Maybe hermitcraft or maybe even a smaller series that isn't as popular. We are all enjoying the content we like to watch and shouldn't ruin other people's fun by spamming annoying comments everywhere.

I once talked on a discord server about minecraft SMP favorites, I said mine was hermit craft for it's calm, smart, and creative players, but a dream Stan screamed mad at me. She said the main key of a fun SMP was funny, messed up, mature jokes, but I said that there's many category of these servers, and to hate it's fans for enjoying it is rotting the community. I don't know what the he'll is wrong with the community arguing. I love this series since 2018, and I hate to think that people can hate something just because others love it

I think you are missing the time in between yogscast/mindcrack and the true rise or hermit craft which is where series like How to Minecraft were and were probably pretty influential on things like the Dream SMP especially seeing how Tommy loves Vikstar so much.
