Roy Martinez 5 trophies in a 6 year period (since 2010) is not bad. City were also runners up in the FA Cup, and runners up in 2 PL seasons too in this period. The PL is a tough league, you can't just "buy" it. You need the right players, a good manager, and good tactics. Money helps, but it doesn't guarantee anything. Also, City weren't the only team spending obscene amounts of money though... Chelsea and Man Utd have also spent a lot of money in this period...

Btw, I believe everyone should name a team's formation when they are defending as a rule of thumb. What we usually call 3-5-2 is 99% of the time a 5-3-2. What people call 4-2-3-1 is basically a 4-4-1-1 when they are defending. Are we not going to count the wingers as midfield players just because they suck at defending? The only exception to this is Man City's formation, because there are three attacking midfielders who put pressure up front and do not have the responsability to defend wide.

People are hyping Pep's tactics due to their recent good run. They've simply had easy fixtures. Oh wow he uses his fullbacks in narrower positions. Is that all? That kind of system would be murdered by fast opposition fullbacks and wingers that can stretch the play and force City's narrower fullbacks to spread out, thus creating space. I'd like to see how they cope against Arsenal with a player like Cazorla who would weave through players and distribute to Ozil, and Ozil finding speedsters such as Sanchez, Walcott, Monreal and Bellerin to stretch City's legs. Also with Xhaka on our side, with his long range passing, he could easily nullify the city squeeze in midfield. City have failed to beat Arsenal in the last 5 meetings.

Amnuay Tongkumpan Guardiola is better with one on one with each player, but if you both gave them a team like West Brom or Burnley, or Stoke, I think Mourinho would get them playing much better as a unit than Guardiola. I personally don't really like Mourinho from a personal side of things either, partly because of what happened with Eva Carneiro, but he can make players play well and make a team as opposed to 11 players who are just told to "do this"

Gojira Gaming its both and that's why that tactic works so well when you have the correct players. When you attack it's a 3-4-3 and when you defend your wing backs move down the pitch and become regular fullbacks and you play a 5-2-3. It's highly demanding on the players, especially the wing backs They need the pace and stamina to be both wingers and fullbacks and they need to be good at reading the game so that they know instantly when they need to defend and when to attack.

Tactics and formations are completely different. Real Madrid played a 433 like Barca last season, they played totally different. Without any tactical backing, formations are pointless really you need to have like a certain way of playing within that formation. Leicester's 442 was totally different to Man U's!
