Tien was always stronger than Krillin since og Dragonball. It isn’t until Krillin gets his potential unlocked in Namek where it seems like he has a shot but many ppl forget, Tien was training at King Kai’s during that time and he ended up being there the longest(kinda close to a year iirc) out of all the others that were there also. So nothing really changes powerscale wise imo, we then see Krillin not train for years leading up to android/cell saga arguably get weaker, while we see Tien show up pretty beastly during that arc his feats & physique was pretty evident of that. Same kinda cycle repeats in Buu saga but neither gets a whole lotta screentime. Then in DBS all logic & writing goes out the window, so it’s very hard to take that series seriously. So all in all, Tien remained stronger than Krillin with his dedication, constant training & feats from DB-DBZ alone. Don’t let the writers bias fool you

Instead, Tien commits suicide after all of his energy were wasted. Finally is Neo Tri Beam, the barrage version of Tri Beam. Seems quite powerful, but causes Tien to become tired.
