It didn't help that it was the brand new gym that was being rebuilt literally until the year I started going to that school, and during the construction time, students had a Life Skills class to replace Gym, and I literally missed it by one year.

I had the Trollz DVDs as a kid!! I don't have them anymore but from what I remember, the arc of the first couple episodes is just the movie (similar to how the Kim Possible movies are just 3 episodes back to back but it looks like all one piece). I can't believe it's considered lost media now, Trollz was such a huge part of my childhood I thought it would be more well-documented...

I had the old Trollz DVDs ('Best Friends for Life' & 'Magic of the Five'). I'll say the difference between the DVD release and what aired on the DiC network was the extra content. At the end of an arc, you'd get an extra two or three minutes of said episode. Ex: At the end of episode four titled 'Onyx's Gem', we see the girls come back from the mall after defeating Simon. They're outside of the store heading towards their scoots to go home. The extra few minutes isn't much, but it's something. 😭

This was a great deep dive on the history of Trolls. An adult DreamWorks Trolls fan here, actually wearing a Poppy shirt as I type this. I fell in love with this series after watching the first movie and been a fan since, even seeing Trolls Band Together multiple times at my local theater (even went in Trolls gear each time). I love the adorable characters, the world, music, the stories and heart this series has.

I clicked on this expecting it to love every second of the video between the history of the toys to the lore of the shows and of course what's easily my new favorite collab video and of course, this video delivers. What I didn't expect was the answer to a question that I've had since at least 2018, why did that one troll doll I had as a kid look nothing like what troll dolls are supposed to look like? I got scared for a second that it was a knockoff but after seeing the trollz dolls, nope it was that the whole time lol. russ trolls r authentic but there's certainly a difference imo as a collector. the dam troll just feel like they have much more character in their faces. sometimes the russ trolls kinda feel like they have nothing behind the eyes while the dam trolls feel like they have a bit of emotion. i love them both but my favorite trolls r all dam or norfin.
