My entire experience with this game summed up man I swear 🤣 The Full grown Fallingstar Beast, Agheel at the lake, the gargoyle at the Capital steps, the twin gargoyles in Siofra River, and the Ancient Dragon Lansseax that ambushes you when you first arrive in the Altus Plateau via the mines. I mean, the Souls games have taught me to always be on my toes, but this game has no chill bruh when it comes to bosses just straight up ambushing you 💀

The one that ticked me off the most was the falling star beast in the mining cave. That thing started the charge as I was walking through the fog wall trapping me and killing me l. The fogwall prevented me from even seeing the boss, and the path it took was slightly different each time so i had to try blindly rolling through it. I gave up and came back about 100 levels later

There are more than a few terrible boss fights, but part of the problem is the camera they have in their games is absolutely awful. Large bosses in small areas are not only never a good idea, but made even worse when they move at the speed they do in the game at times.

Mine was 2 things: 1. That area where you cannot see more than 1 foot in front of you in the snow and fog and you are supposed to follow the glowy rock things and they put 1 rock right at the cliffs edge on a 90 degree turn in the trail...while huge ghosts are spawning around you pressuring you to go fast. 2. Use a spear sword the game is too stupid to back swing when you are near a wall. At least 50% of my deaths was due to being unable to swing or defend because collision detection was completely blocking my ability to fight back where a simple back swing would have plenty of room. OH 2.5 I guess would be about 2/3 of the way in it feels like the dev's started just phoning in the effort and just all sorts of dumb "gotchya's" to try and make it difficult. Like bosses immediately 1-shotting you the second you load into a fight so if you are not spamming dodge while loading you are dead before you can even do anything. Great looking game and combat is very fun when dumb trolly crap doesn't happen.
