The EXECUTION Of Violette Szabo - The Female Spy Shot By The SS

Throughout the Second World War, there were many female spies who when captured by the Germans were tortured and then executed. Violette Szabo was just 23 years old when she was dragged out into execution alley inside of Ravensbruck concentration camp and was executed by the SS. She was a brilliant spy who worked inside France behind enemy lines and she had a number of assignments to investigate damage to the existing spy networks.
But following D-Day, she was suspected of being a spy and was captured following a brief firefight with the Germans and she was then tortured in Paris. But Violette Szabo continued to give over no information, and she then was sent to the all female concentration camp Ravensbruck where she was forced to conduct hard labour before her ruthless execution.

Surprised this isn't authenticated clearly. Violette Szabo was one of three British Agents kept at Ravensbruck Concentration Camp north of Berlin. Upon orders from Berlin the three were taken from their cells in the Bunker cells for important people. Led a short distance from the Bunker they were made to kneel. They held hands and each was shot in the back of the head. The bodies were then cremated in the nearby crematorium. There is a metal plate commemorating the three at the place of their execution. I have seen it.

Actually there are documented cases of the SS creamating live females suspected of espionage. There was a British female named Vera Leigh. She and 3 others were captured for espionage. All 4 were injected with phenol and creamated alive. This was witnessed by SS guards and other prisoners.

How did the documentary verify exactly how Szabo died? Were there surviving witnesses from the concentration camp who were liberated after ww2 ended to tell the tale to us handed down?

Actually there were witnesses to her death. One of them was the camp doctor who was interrogated after he was captured. If you do some research you'll find it all out.
