It's possible, but IFS is not a theory of consciousness, just a different way to describe someone's personality, which is distinct from conscious awareness. Consciousness is more fundamental than personality. For example even when you were very young before you had a full personality, you were still conscious, and even people on high doses of psychedelics whose personalities have been effectively obliterated are still conscious.
