Very difficult to trust something like this when they say that acetaldehyde is produced in the gut, while it actually happens in the liver. And yes gut can refer to the abdomen but with the video showing the entrails that was clearly not what they meant. I hope that the deadmeat team takes another look at the sponsor since the product shouldn't have much of an effect on acetaldehyde production from alcohol.

The kill just works so well because it's such a slow build up, then throws in a fake shock moment before returning to normal for a bit. There's a cop seated so the viewer feels safe as does the nurse, but when she enters that room, he gets up and leaves. The long slow shot, the noise as she shuts the door (which I'm guessing was added in post so the killer could come through it) gives nothing away until she turns and walks. It's such an amazing moment that hits no matter how often you see it. Also, I wish there was a George C Scott satnav app as that voice would be amazing as you're driving: "Turn right I said!!!"

During the dream scene, the tarot cards that are laid out tell about the movie's climax. Judgment: Rite of Passage, maturing, reviewing, transition. The Emperor: Power, structure, stability, authority, father. The World: Integration, completion, options, wholeness, the earth, correction. The Devil: Attachments, restriction, commitment, limitations. Lined up in a 4 card spread is telling Wiliam what he'll have to face and that he'll be able to overcome it all. As all the cards are right side up. Meaning they have positive outcomes if he can see the signs in time. The devil card is last, so that will be the challenge Willam will have to face to bring out all the positive aspects of each card. While the Emperor card primarily relates to Dire, the other cards are about Willam overcoming the challenge of finding the murderer and solving the case. Side note: I don't really like doing tarot readings because of how structured they are. I stick with Oracle cards because they are more free-flowing. But for anyone curious about the cards and what they meant I hope this helps. ^^

My personal favorite Exorcist movie! It also has one of my favorite Brad Douriff performances too! ^^ Also really looking forward to the Nope Kill Count - love the symbolism in the movie and it's commentaries about exploitation and making spectacles out of people/animals!

To me this is the "real Exorcist 2" and I just ignore the heretic's existence since that was a bad movie to begin with. Exorcist 3 is very underrated with how great the performances, atmosphere and overall horror is and I'm glad it's getting more love from people.

I’ve considered the hallway scene the greatest jump scare ever since I saw this film at age twelve in 2003. So glad to finally see it earn it’s reputation 🙌

Every George C Scott movie consists of George lifting his hands to his head and screaming Shut Up

I'm a little disappointed that James didn't mention that George C. Scott was also Ebenezer Scrooge in one of the (many) adaptations of The Christmas Carol. He's amazing in that movie too. I was waiting for a joke mentioning that little detail. But, not a huge loss. Looking forward to next week's Kill Count for sure!

I like the little gag when you are going over the opening credits and your like "we don't know who they are yet" as brad dourif's name appears in the credits. really cute
