Vilayat Inayat Khan was a teacher of meditation and of the traditions of the East Indian Chishti Sufi order of Sufism. His teaching derived from the tradition of his father, Inayat Khan, founder of The Sufi Order in the West (now named the Ināyati Order), in a form tailored to the needs of Western seekers. One of his sisters was Noor Inayat Khan GC MBE. He taught in the tradition of Universal Sufism.
It was Pir Vilayat’s contention that meditation was a science, and as such, it must continually advance. His own methodology, while grounded in the Sufi tradition of his father, was informed by Buddhism, yoga, and alchemy, and reinforced with insights from physics and biology.
In the course of his long life, Pir Vilayat initiated thousands of mureeds and spread his father’s Sufi Message far and wide. Despite many hardships, he radiated joy to the last. On June 17, 2004, he died in the Oriental Room of Fazal Manzil.
On hearing of Pir Vilayat’s passing, His Holiness the Dalai Lama wrote, “I have much admiration for him. His passing is a great loss, especially for those who not only follow the spiritual path, but also believe in tolerance for other religious traditions.”

..Spin around, like a whirling dervish, clockwise (yang in the northern hemisphere/yin in the southern hemisphere) or counterclockwise (yin in the northern hemisphere/yang in the southern hemisphere). call it syncronicity or coincidence, but i once arranged around 16 candles in the shape of a cross and lit them all, i then asked stupidly and out loud "if there are any spirits in this room, please make something happen to the middle candle" - expecting it to flicker slightly different or something, anyway after 10 seconds, a moth came out of nowhere and flew right into the middle candle!

There's only one playing thru all forms and the formless..one..anything your aware of can not be your truth..even mind free bliss.. your aware of..what one is does not experience anything..mind is the past moment only..the eternal now the only moment that actually exists is beyond mind/time and matter/space..formless ..the person is that very dream of separation from the one..there was never any seperation at all..u have created yourself..your "person"..now let that go..u don't have a mind..look for it and know it now.. ..even this "i am" is being witnessed..its a grasp at existance..a felt bliss sure..but the awareness/god that is.. is aware.. witnessing this ..but it ..itself DOES NOT experience...lol..the nameless formless timeless deathless one at zero..the consciousness is experiencing seeing...but the awareness is aware of the consciousness "seeing"..but is not experiencing anything.. nothingness pure emptyness beyond even "felt mind free bliss/existance..where U see from can not be seen..like a knife can not cut itself...lol..these words are merely pointing at that oneness..the words themselves are dual in nature where as the truth is only one without "other"..no person has ever done anything..as the person is unreal and only ever the past moment..the truth is beyond intellect/mind/logic...good luck.. no body..lol
