Firstly I would like to thank James for his insight and wish Reading supporters all the best, as Burnsy has said City have been there and done it, hopefully you will find decent owners sooner rather than later than later. Any new manager is of course a risk but I’m liking what I hear about the man and am excited about what he can bring us in time.

Played them pre season and there was only one team that had a coach who knew what he was doing. Watched em Tuesday and hope he brings a few players along with him in January cos they're far better than we are.

It maybe sounds like he hasn’t got much experience but Rubén Sellés was taken on as Assistant Manager at Southampton (in the Prem). When he took over as Manager at Southampton one of those wins was against Cole Palmer’s Chelsea (in the Prem.) last Season👍🏻 Reading sounds like he’s worked hard at the Club, on the Pitch (11 out of 12 Home Wins recently!) and behind the scenes, (numerous problems / issues). Our Home Form ironically is what’s let us down recently, sounds like we’ve finally got someone who might unite Owner, Players & Fans⚽️🔥

Sounds like Reading's got a toxic ownership, not uncommon these days, feel for you, James.

The 4.2.2.2 puts a lot of pressure in the full backs.... no, no , no!!!... we haven't got any...

It's a gamble but hopefully it works. Remember the QPR manager was hyped last season look at him now. I expect he's cheaper (to hire or sack) than Robins or other managers who have had success at Division 2 level.

If we're going on pre season surely Grant McCann should be the new manager. Beat us 4 nil. 😂

I like the sound of Selles... the caveat being its okay bringing kids through in L1, but it will be harder to play younger and 'poorer' players with the same effect in the Championship...

James has the same personality as my ex-wife the man seems broken I know the feeling.

Burnsy is so negative. He probably thinks Thomas Frank is no good as Brentford haven't made it into Europe. Let's hope they don't start moaning when results don't turn immediately. Him and Cooper both have form in this and helped pile pressure on the previous incumbent.

Someone who acun can control

Last few seasons signings way more duffs than success, for every Philogene there's been 4 or 5 Giles.

That's what happens when you sign players based on stats/data/what they look like on paper, rather than grass. They need someone who 'knows' players, and how those players will actually fit with our needs...

Burnsy is spot on. > outside the box Acun doesn't know what he's doing, how is he qualified to select an interesting coach? He's a tv guy.

I can only hope he's as good as James' clear bitterness and disappointment at losing him suggests. Reading fans talk about Selles like he was the second coming...hope he lives up to the hype (and he's fully aware how shite we are 🤣) UTT ⚫️🟠
