Really interesting conversation. My love of Ligotti brought me here. I'm in a curious position because I find myself sometimes profoundly disturbed by the very ideas I'm interested in. Other times I feel quite at home with them. Maybe it's some other personality issue altogether that keeps me in such an ambivalent state about pessimism and horror. Sometimes this push-pull feeling about my own interests, perhaps coupled with social phobia and fear of rejection, causes me to keep my own type of people at arm's length, and therefore I resist watching interviews like these. But I really enjoy hearing what both of you have to say. Thanks for putting yourself out there and doing what you do.

Очень рад, что "О трагедии" наконец перевели на английский. Печально, что труд Цапффе так и не перевели на русский. Спасибо за ваш труд

What language did he write in? I understand in Norway they speak 2 languages. Is it Bokmål?

This guy is so softspoken. He's probably never done any media before. I don't know who will get thru a 550-page doctoral dissertation(!) from an obscure Norweigan author. I'd like to be one of those people but you still gotta really "sell" a book like this, including to ANs. I wish he would've shared quotes like he suggested doing somewhere near the beginning.

Amanda - Love you, love your podcast. LOVE this guest. I was walking the dog, and it was pretty much impossible to listen to. If you and your esteemed guest are using separate microphones, can you please turn yourself down? You are twice as loud as he is.

Another one who ''wouldn't characterize himself as AN'' cause he has no ''deep enough knowledge'', he ''hasn't spent a lot of time thinking about it'' JFC!! Isn't he a philosopher??? What was he thinking about his whole life, he looks like he is 50 or something? What were u contemplating man? About the color of your shirts? About the car u r driving? What is more relevant for a philosopher today if not discussing sentiocentric antinatalism??? And Amanda's tolerance for this kind of ppl is fascinating.
