A few years ago, most of these characters were basically strangers to each other, we could unlock voice logs of them talking about others, but never really see a lot of em, let alone see them interact. This Lantern Rite shows how far we've gone since then. It almost had everything I wanted for this event. The last thing I have on my Lantern Rite bucket list is to see Hu Tao and Zhongli interact with Qiqi and Baizhu.

The first lantern rite was pretty painful, cause it was only Xiao. Another interaction I can't believe we haven't seen yet, is Hu Tao and Ganyu. Xiao and Kazuha would be cool as well, for same reasons, best friend VAs

Its sad but I think that is the way that they are. And just because they're working doesn't mean they're not feeling the holiday atmosphere. I personally thought seeing them still working during the cutscene was the story showing that they're working even harder so everyone's holiday remain unspoiled. Kind of like the people who have to pull shifts over Christmas to keep things running while everyone else is at home. Plus (spoiler for the epilogue) at least Xiao got to attend Hu Tao's banquet...

Literally too lol. But jokes aside, that's how i partially felt too. Aside from Xiao and maybe Zhongli, they felt strangely distant and disconnected in the exact way we humans tend to see non-human deities like them. As though they could easily handle whatever trouble stands in their way without much problem aside from death or physical/cursed suffering of Karmic Debt. It's a comforting thought that beings as powerful and supposedly omnipotent as they, could also experience grief and cling onto emotions the same ways we do. I think it tends to get misunderstood due to how exaggerated they express their emotions in their own 'godly' manner. If that makes sense.

I genuinely love the lantern rite so much it’s one of the only times you can see all of travelers connections all coming together to celebrate a night of remembrance and joy where all the characters each have a moment to have peace and watch the fireworks. It brings back the memories of the year prior because of the immense joy or peace that was captured in that one special night that only happens once every year. The whole event always has a warm and comforting aroma because the themes are usually lighthearted and sweet (ex. setting up a music festival, helping a friend fit in or work less) the event may be about remembrance but I see it as a time of celebration where you can spend one whole night just being happy with no cares no worries and no problems. Each year a new cut scene comes out with a whole different story but it always ends the same, with fireworks. This is as if to show that it maybe a completely different plot with different “main characters” it’s still the same celebration in the end with the same message. No matter what everyone deserves a night to celebrate even if that’s just sitting down to watch the fireworks or catching up with an old friend. In the end each lantern rite is the same in a way.

I have an emotional attachment to Liyue. When the characters from Liyue are cheerful it cheers me up. The story of Guizhong (which I personally was very excited for) and this cutscene genshin never disappoint. This was such an amazing lantern rite seeing every character enjoy. It was truly a blessing lantern rite. The story that Liyue characters share is kinda very attached to my heart. I just don't know even words could not define this lantern rite and hoping for a good next one. Happy lantern rite everyone.

This was my first Lantern Rite and everything was so beautiful... but the moment Dvorak started playing with more passion after hearing Madame Ping's song, I got some tears in my eyes especially because the past 2 years I had an absolute horrible New Year's Eve. This quest in the game, made me feel a little bit of that new year's "magic" even if it's just an illusion for a brief moment.. so thank you.
