Extremis is a six-issue story arc from the comic book series Iron Man, published in issues one through six in 2005 and 2006 by Marvel Comics. It was written by Warren Ellis and illustrated by Adi Granov.

Mia Hansen was originally meant to be the villain of Iron Man 3, but supposedly they didn't think a girl villain would sell toys or something stupid. So it was changed to be Killian.

For anyone interested, the reporter John Pillinger seems to be based off John Pilger (the resemblance in name and look is hard to deny). Pilger is an amazing journalist and has reported from some of the most devastated countries in their most desperate times, getting stories out that many others weren't covering. I highly recommend watching a few of his documentaries to learn more about the hidden history of the world. He inspired thousands of journalists working today (and he's still going strong)

I don't even remember how many subs you had when I first started watching a year and a half ago. Your content was just beautifully done. Congrats, Rob! Also, I just made a top ten list for myself involving all of my favorite armors that Tony Stark has ever had. Extremis was on there and I got issue #5 when the Extremis armor was actually introduced. Not sure why I didn't have this desire before...but you inspired me to get that full series. Then I'm going after Matt Fraction's full run (I actually have an Invincible Iron Man #500 variant signed by him) and finally Gillen's full run. Thank you for being so passionate about this fandom (for lack of a better word). It certainly rubs off on me and I'm very sure, many others!

Great vid. You should talk about the next storyline, Execute Program. Its importance to Tony's mindset during Civil War is huge and so few people read it. Reading Extremis then Execute Program is always an awesome one two punch. I'd say EP is easily one of Iron man's best stories.
