The video is very well made, kudos. However, I've studied that it's Caspase-8 which actually is going to activate BID turning it to tBID and NOT Caspase-3.

So normal cells have FAS receptors expressed on the cell surface. Whats stopping normal healthy cells from undergoing apoptosis? Is there a mechanism in which FAS receptors are internalised and expressed on the surface when the cell is required to undergo apoptosis? I know the FAS ligand is what triggers the whole sequence, but T lymphoctes throughout the whole circulation, being exposed to millions of cells, but it only acts on the particular cell needing to undergo apoptosis. How does this selection take place?
