I love the idea of having a group of fanmade Gabe the Slacker characters called The Fabrics. However, it would make a more realistic story detail to have their names come from actual materials commonly used in fabric: wool, canvas, acrylic, neoprene, polyester, nylon, rayon, cotton, silk, spandex, and many others.
