Woah... what a transformation, pure art. I used to wear makeup whenever I just stepped out the door, two years ago I started microneedling, that little device changed my skin in a way that I am not wearing makeup any longer. I have tried almost everything to look younger plus get rid of sunspots , anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements, retin A etc. However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for under 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm in my 20s again, but definitely not 47 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less prominent. People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin.

🤦♀️ Well, I've been doing makeup wrong for decades. I ABSOLUTELY see how your right side is lifting. I was the classic left eye with liner underneath. Thanks SO MUCH!!
@P00CHEZ4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, the people saying they like the “wrong side”, it’s not that it’s truly bad. It’s just not meant for older faces. That’s how I learned to do my makeup in my twenties and now that I’m 32 I realize I hated how I looked with makeup and have stopped wearing it. This video made me realize it’s because my face is slowly starting to age and I have to use different techniques. The right side may not look that bad but in comparison, the left looks more youthful and less crusty. I have been looking for tips to do makeup now that I’m getting older and I absolutely loved this video because I started to hate that I looked older with makeup. I’ve seen some of y’all with the right side makeup and I’m telling you, it doesn’t look as great as you think. I was laughing watching this video because I was thinking “omg that’s how I do mine!” (The wrong side) and it helped me understand my facial structure better. The only thing I didn’t like was that she put concealer right under her eye. I found another technique that works better. But it looked fine on her.

Agree, I look at photos of me at weddings etc from 10+ years ago and my makeup was terrible! I didn't use it a lot and only used light products for work on a day to day. I really enjoy makeup now and started watching tutorials about 4+ years ago and am addicted to great tutorials, esp vlogs from mature plus women. I've bought a lot of new makeup (foundations of all sorts, eye palettes, concealers, primers, quality brushes etc) and have my go to for a few looks e.g. light and no makeup makeup days, a little something but still fresh looking, a medium soft glam look for a dinner out or birthday BBQ/party with friends and a something special look for weddings and special glam nights out. So much fun. Only thing I'd do differently to Dominique is because I have blondish lashes, I do a very light coat of mascara on my bottom lashes with a mascara that is quite 'wet' so it coats ever so thinly. It's practice and at 32 and with the info out there on YT and the amount of different coverage looks you may be after, its a plethora of good stuff out there. Know your skin tone (pink, golden etc) and type (dry, oily etc). Do enjoy! And do splurge on yourself!

This is a FANTASTIC tutorial unlike most others. HOWEVER I want to point something out. There are 2 things at play here, competing, if you will, when it comes to putting dark liner on the BOTTOM lashline. I think the main reason alot of us continue to do that into our 30s or even 40s is this: When we age, the contrast of our features dims, and fades, usually. Our overall features sort of...blend together and there is not nearly as much clarity and contrast, especially in the eyes. Dark liner returns contrast and then some. It does indeed have a small effect of making you look younger (in some cases), but Dominique is absolutely right that it also draws attention to whatever vague or strong sagging or downturning we have, as well as our wrinkles. This tutorial is FANtastic, but remember, theres no wrong way to do your makeup! Do it however you feel best!

Enjoyed this presentation and shared it with my sister, both of us women in our 60s. The results of following Dominique's advice are subtle, but effective. So, I look forward to showing off my 'new look' in a gathering - other than a Zoom call - sometime in the post-Covid future. Thank you!

What a great tutorial Dominique!! These past few years I stopped wearing makeup because it makes me look older than I’d prefer, but still want to look glowing. Just turned 60 in December and I prefer a more natural look. Can’t wait to try this. Thank you. Also, I’ve been using clean, organic, nontoxic skincare products and makeup. I’d love to see you do a video with clean products. Thanks for sharing your great tips!! Be blessed🙏🏻

Goodness am I glad that I watched this /facelift video. Unfortunately, a man I had dated for 10 years began to suddenly tell me things like my make up looked weird, if I needed a shot, I had gained so much weight I wouldn't feel it. That he loved one of his old girlfriends and so much in the day and on my birthday of all days since we were in the area she lived, let's just drive by her house and see if she made improvements. Having been married for 37 years and only began dating 2 years after his death, I will ill equipped home. I value myself. Finally, when he said he didn't remember staying at the Ritz during Mardi Gras with me but he did with Julia because he had a good time with her just not with me. I stopped all contact as of that day and now am focusing on myself. You are helping me gain confidence and hopefully beauty tools that can help me even as old as I am to look better and not as he said weird.

I honestly cried by how happy I am to have found a very simple, step by step on how to properly do my eye makeup (the rest is just a nice bonus). My whole life I have been doing my eye makeup exactly like your not as great side and it's been frustrating me even more every single day. I am in the early 30s and due to a little weight gain and genetics, my eyebrows/eyelids seem to have puffed up and drooped so much more that I basically don't have an outer corner. The recreating the spot for my outer corner is life changing. Thank you so much for posting these. I can't tell you how much they help even us younger ladies

I worked for the biggest French cosmetics companies including Lancome since the late 1980s and have learned many sophisticated techniques. The high blush above the contour and avoidance of intense light eyeshadow on the lids are two mainstays for me. But you have taught me something with the eyeliner and shadow and lessening the brow "tip". I also love that you didn't do the outrageous contouring featured in many tutorials today. Great job!
