I wanted to watch this just to see the Faces play with Keith Richards, but was blown away at how good it actually was. Rod Stewart is a great soul and blues singer, and Ron Wood plays with so much feeling. Happily in 2021 all three are still playing to audiences.

Not bad. Rod has a soulful voice, that's for sure. They are connecting with something deep. I am not sure Rod needed to twirl the mike stand around like a baton...the song stands on its own merit for being great. The shtick almost detracts but since it's Rod, he can get away with it. Keith looks the part, Ronnie looks a little affected with his grimacing but plays some soulfully awesome notes.

@@dianeward5405 sorry I think Rod’s twirling of his mic stand was impressive as hell. The butt shots I could totally do w/o Lol And Ronnie’s grimacing is just his style- as w/many guitar geniuses :)

I think I saw The Faces on this Tour - 1974. Lewisham Odeon. I was a month off my 14th birthday. My first ever Gig...can you imagine that?! I adored them all: my first proper schoolgirl crush was the whole Band!😍. No Osmonds/Bay City Rollers for me: too 'girly'. Besides I had older sisters & a brother who all loved everything from Elvis, Mowtown to Ska and even Traffic. Safe to say I've still got a very eclectic taste in music! First saw Rod & The Faces on TOTP when I was 11, miming to 'Maggie May' with John Peel on mandolin. Cheeky Chapies, kicking a ball around on stage, having a right laugh. Little did I know they were all probably pi$$Ed up and off their nut on Coke! So rock & roll 😆 Always preferred good time rock n roll. I loved the distinctive guitar sound of The Faces. As for Rod, well what a frontsman! Personally love the very early Rod stuff, and all of The Faces albums. After 'Smiler', when Rod met Britt and waltzed off to America, I lost interest: too poppy for me by then. So getting my Faces fix on KZbin is brilliant. Makes a 63 y/o Nan feel like a schoolgirl again...mainly because I can remember all the words from their songs!! Great Times x
