Outstanding interview and lady! Claire appears to be a courageous person and honest in the way she apologized to her followers, and saying she is greatful and thankful to them. Social medias, KZbin included, are risky places, one day or the other. I like the way she asks her kababayan to be more attentive at educating and advising the young people (or older...)❤

I’ve followed Claire and some of the other Filipina Vloggers that started KZbin channels almost 3 years ago. She is honest. I respect that she and her co-host Kit quit Filipina Lipstick and explained the background situation when they started their own channel. She is not acting, just an emotional and caring person. She has led a complex and difficult life from a broken family and is ambitious and strives to be an independent woman. I am amazed Claire forgives the many people who have wronged her in the past and wishes them well.

1 sentence slipped through this 1 hour interview: that she must look after herself, not even the family will help. The family obligation looks more as a curse than a blessing. I have known some Asian people who got rid of the obligation. They have now a happy life. And when they visit family, they are not cursed.

I like Claire, I remember her from Filipina Lipstick, I genuinely think she tries her best and it's hard to knock her for that. In saying that, I know she tells a lot of stories and generally just enjoys attention. Her reason for contacting you I'm sure is pretty obvious. At the start of the interview she talks about being uncomfortable asking the slightly sexual questions to the girls she was interviewing (10:12). The first videos she has on her channel are her asking those exact same questions to filipina girls... I like her, I honestly do, but she's an actress if I ever saw one

@RJT806 күн бұрын
Claire's channel was was recommended to me for some reason. I don't watch a ton of Philippines content. I'm only subscribed to one other Philippines vlog channel called "It's me" a retired Marine in Dumaguete area around the same age as me and retired early like me. I've been thinking of moving to SE Asia for at least half a year but very undecided. Gave her a sub to help her out and then this video gets recommended to me. I've since watched some of her streams and videos and I think she's mostly genuine but struggles with money (understandable), struggles with self confidence, and is a bit naive. Calculated? Everyone is to a degree, especially if you are in a lot of Filipinas positions where you might be surviving, but not thriving. There's very little upward mobility there. If you are cleaning homes you'll likely be on that level forever. Even if you complete school and get a call center job there are only so many management positions (and artificial intelligence will likely put everyone in those jobs out of work in the coming years). That's the real issue there and the reason why people crawl through the jungle to get to the USA. You can arrive here and be in the middle class in 2-5 years which is unique to the world. If you look at her cake baking video she clearly does not do things with confidence which is likely a result of her family issues. In an older video she does a condo tour and she makes cute noises when she sees something she wants. She obviously wants a better life but is reluctant to take the next step which could be the self confidence issue. Or maybe she doesn't actually want to shack up with a foreigner and is either milking the online sugar daddies or waiting until she's older. I feel uncomfortable talking about someone I've never met that lives 8200 miles from me but I did study psychology in college and that is what I see. I hope she figures it out. One day you wake up and you're 30 and that's a trip. Then you're 40 and that's a real trip having lived half your life. For a woman you're basically aged out. I can understand being 24 and apprehensive. Then again Tim K's wife turned 18 and hopped on the dating apps right away to find a guy. Apparently they will be relocating to Hawaii soon. Worked out well for her I'd say lol.

Even using her figures she was on a fantastic amount to the average filipino plus doing this seven days per week two live streams a day. Even if she done this for two months she's earned multiple thousands of Dollars she would of no longer faced financial hardship. This seems like a business relationship were promises were not honored she realised she was a major factor in the success so goes it alone. Someone says in the comments she still asks these type of questions on her channel I think she come here with the intentions of giving a sad story playing the victim and hoping to increase her viewership so increasing income interesting if she still does live streams and how she generates income. I had some "sight" moments watching this. I never followed Filipina Lipstick or watched whole streams/videos other than very few times scanning through to verify some. And even Ed doesn't want to be on camera anywhere, and hires Filipinas to do the work, the expat community as well other KZbinrs knows him as he also attended at least one of the expat gathering amongst other KZbinrs that I know about. And there he did not hide to be the brain and having ownership of Filipina Lipstick. I just did a quick search and it's still up and running. I condemn the moral and ethics to some degree as how Ed treated the hosts he hires (which he might not even be allowed to depending what kind of visa/status in the Philippines he has). But there is his side as well .... and more to it. Claire does not need forgiveness because everyone knows (all her current followers from the beginning) knows the story and so many explicit told her to not feel quilts or expressed there understanding. And even for me that was not the reason why I unsubscribed. I would not put yourself in the middle as a soundboard in future content for very specific situations. And if you do, use your staff who you have at your disposal to take time and investigate/verify to get a full picture and different perspectives. Otherwise I would advice to cover such in an educational manner by a sit and talk video without visitors. About what is also happening in the Philippines.

28:48 made promises? But did they? Sound entitled and embarrassed someone who she thought was a celeb online when it could've been anybody. Maybe a little too much self importance, maybe. But definitely self entitlement and perpetual victim and never a willing participant. Being offered money and accepting to do it is actually considered as being a willing self participant, sorry to say. Many parents, even biological ones suggest careers for their kids. But to say it's bullying more than your own abilities to keep up and make it seem like something else, seems like she's been making excuses for herself while talking about independence so boldly seems so controversial and contradictory from the discrepancies from her claim of reasoning to her story....

Sure she may regret some of it now and feels embarrassed maybe, but while she was profiting before, it wasn't so much of a factor and is smart enough to be political about it. As now she is no longer apart of the company and no longer reaping the benefits and gains from it, she is now speaking put and against them. When in reality, she could have refused so many things and so many times and nor have her name associated with the negative exposure she helped acquire and go out of her way to get extra girls to interview to maximise her revenue oh the day since she doesn't have to wait to get paid from the adsense revenue. If it were r Really been a moralty issue as claimed, could've done something abour it before any wrong doing.l like my pride won't let me borrow money off people the mental restraint and feel shame so if genuine would have been very small and insignificant. Maybe even her self knowingly acknowledged it but chose self gain over her own society.

I don't know. I'm on the fence with this one. I believe the story about the pneumonia, but i think it's probably when the falling out took place. That channel still stands. I looked it up midway during this interview. She might be using you for a plug. And, she just might be changing her image to branch off and do her own thing, which is good either way for her. The lipstick change for donations isn't such a terrible concept. I've seen women ask for donations on multiple platforms in return for way more compromising content. I did note that her interviews expose the truth about what young/er Filipinas look for in a man, and in comparison to other channels they really aren't interested in old/er foreign men. These filpinas ranged from the ages of 18-28 city/province backgrounds. Whereas new channels are adamant to promote the age gap and dating abroad themes. Truly an eye opener for me personally.

When I used to watch her and Kit on Filipina Lipstick, I always felt there was somebody else there giving them instructions on what to say or not to say. It turns out that it was an old foreigner guy (he is on a Regular Guy's video at a restaurant) keeping them in line behind the scenes, so foreigners kept donating. I remember one guy asking Claire a question on a livestream that she didn't like because she didn't understand it. I saw Claire looking at something/someone (the guy) next to the camera and immediately apologizing for his response to the viewer. It was very awkward. Kit (video below) was the one more mellow of the two and never got upset by the questions, but you could tell Claire wasn't happy being there. Maybe Kit wasn't either, I don't know. Anyway, Regular Guy has a video where you can see the old guy partying with others at a restaurant. Scotty made that video around the time he was filming David Bond. I believe Bond was at that Meet & Greet. "Beautiful Filipina Kit and Claire went to Be Resort"

So basically the young lady was employed to do like interviews and live streams, basically e-begging for donations, and even when she was in an accident, the owner wanted her to do the live stream and beg, and he kept all donations, leaving her helpless, the guy needs to be dealt with Derek, even on an employer to employee side of things, corporation law and insurance for employees, he did not even abide with, that in itself is a criminal offense.. Now this is IF he opened a company to do all the above, as many vloggers do it without a legitimate company, but as I understand things, to obtain donations as he was doing, do you not need to be a company licensed in the PHILIPPINES?

Totally off topic but as you stated, "read the law", you should provide a source. Anyway, let me do it for you: elibrary.judiciary.gov.ph/thebookshelf/showdocs/2/70316 SEC. 3. Prohibited Acts. - It shall be unlawful for any person, whether natural or juridical, to commit, directly or indirectly, any of the following acts; (a) Engage in any business or scheme for money, profit, material, economic or other consideration which has for its purpose the matching or offering of a Filipino to a foreign national for marriage or common law partnership on a mail-order basis or through personal introduction, email, or websites on the internet; Yes we hear about your mentioned Cebu Women Official and similar channels. There businesses are located outside the Philippines and thus outside of Philippines jurisdiction. Yes they even rent building spaces in Manila and Cebu for couples' meetings. But do you believe they rent those spaces for a regular meeting or matchmaking? It's not easy to enforce a dinner party and after the fact realize there was a second agenda on that evening. Just for your knowledge as it's random and off topic I wont reply further as this video is not about matchmaking.
