#3 good advice, my wife will not let a relative borrow money or anyone else. If she can or feels it is a good reason she will Give the money and not expect them to pay the amount back. Getting money out of a borrower is like a root canal.

It's very interesting to see your point of view. Don't forget...you are still working for a boss. KZbin is your boss. KZbin decides how your channel will perform. You never know how much money you will make. It's cool if you create videos but you have to think ahead. What if you are getting ill and can't upload videos? You will not get money, your channel will ranked down and you have to start again. In the end you have a lot of free space but you still are employed. My advice is...have fun and don't look on numbers too much. Take care and see you in the next one :)

Great advice. If I looked at numbers, I would have quit a while back. Depressing after 2 yrs

@@qadventures You have to put it in the right perspective... Look at your channel like your rental business. There are so many people who wants to rent a bike. So your business have to gain millions of dollars, right? No...your company is focused on the local customers and tourists. There are people on the island next to lapu lapu who dont even know that you are existing. Same for your channel. Your viewers have to be interested in the country, want to help the country or simply want to see some beautiful places and women. See how specific your viewers has to be so your channel can grow? The cherry on the top...the viewers has to like you and your style of making videos. Making 1k USD a month is amazing. Look at the positive things :) Be different and real compared to other creators is key. Discipline is always key. So keep focused and make this world a bit better every day.

I always try and comment, even if it's a boring comment about commenting 😁 I also watch your videos cast to the tv which means that I can't skip the ads.

Great interview Derek😊 and yes, allowing the ads to run and clicking on them too, also liking the video certainly helps. A lovely educated young lady, trying to rise above the low wage system there and sometimes effectively doing her best to help others with food if she can afford to after paying her own rent bills etc and family. Wouldn’t having Tagalog and English subtitles help channels more and keep more people interested/watching. Anyways that’s just my thought.😊

It does in a practical sense. But for my limited knowledge thus far, I still feel the work involved vs the payout is not worth it yet. But I am sure I will cross that bridge

Derek, I have told Claire a few years ago when she left Filipina Lipstick to do her own You Tube channel. But, it finally took her a couple of years or several months to delve into it and now her Channel is growing.
@qadventures3 сағат бұрын
Yes. I wasn't aware of Claire until she reached out so I didn't have context. The next video will be about us talking about this issue. She had to work up her courage and she had to deal with some illness as I understood it

Derek, the monetization for KZbin sounds complicated. I have to watch a lot of videos for school, so I upgraded to get out of having to watch all of the campaign ads. My understanding is that when I watch videos a "portion" of my membership is divided up somehow. Good luck with your adventures!
@qadventures7 сағат бұрын
It is complex, for sure. And yes... say your premium membership $20 and you watch 100 videos that month. That $20 is divided amongst all 100 videos and yt based on an extremely complicated formula

#4 At 33 minutes is a long story, 20 minutes is about the length of most folks attention span or the time they can spare to watch. Some times I will come back and finish the story. I am retired so I have lots of time, but if I was 40 years younger and still working, I may not have the time to spend more then 15 or 20 minutes.
@janetceniza80918 сағат бұрын
@2 I think the vloger need to put out your stories at set times or days. If folks want to follow you you need to keep their interest and to look forward to your next video on set days. Some channels I follow put out 2x a week, others put out a story every day. That really requires a dedication to doing that many. Your life is tied to your channel then.

husband speaking - Doing Vlogs is harder then someone might think. If you are going to make it a business you need you put out at least one video or more a week.. You also need content that someone in the U.S. or other developed countries will be interested in watching.

OK Derrick, I watched this video all the way to the end (plus a few commercials to the end). I still don't know what "going viral" means in terms of earned money. What constitutes "going viral". What does it mean in terms of viewer count? Does it mean 5000 views, 25,000 views 50,000 views? What does it mean in terms of earned money from KZbin? Does it mean $5000 PHP, or $25,00 PHP, or $100,000 PHP...JUST CUROUS. I think you might have earned $25 PHP by me watching ,today...don't know.
@qadventures6 сағат бұрын
The word "viral" is subjective. Some people defining as 100k views or above, some 1mil views, etc. Me, personally, 200k+ views. Basically a popular video. Compensation still depends on where the viewers are viewing it from, which you have ZERO control over so you can't calculate the $. Impossible

She monetizes her channel in a different way than you do. You should have asked her about that. Would have made for a more interesting video 👍

Derek, doing Your own research, what do You think about Elon Musk's investing in the Philippines? If You understand what the U.S. did with Hawai'i, You will understand why the Hawai'ians have so much resentment towards the Haoles. I'd like to share a video with You to Your Messenger. There is one problem, I AM restricted to message You. Because it was taken down from KZbin, I recorded it the old fashioned way. Before it was taken down. I used a secondary device to record it. If You allow me to share without posting it, please unrestrict Your messenger for me. Then I will be able to share it with You privately. It is very intriguing to hear the perspective of the good and bad and how it will displace a lot of Filipinos. All because of Elon Musk wanting to invest in the Philippines.
@qadventures10 сағат бұрын
Restricted??? To one of my biggest supporters?!? That's not right... let me look into it
@jtpett392 сағат бұрын
You should have done some research before putting this scammer on your video. Claire is a scammer. She scammed a lot of men when she was on Filipina lipstick channel. And when someone calls her out on it she always says she was forced by the old man who runs the channel. Ask Claire how many KZbin channels she been apart of? This girl will ruin your brand.
@qadventures2 сағат бұрын
Yes. I should have done my research. I was a little dumbfounded when we spoke of exactly that on the next video
