You have so much more of life ahead of you hun. When I was your age, I also ignored God. I believed in Him but I didn't care to learn about Him or know Him. It wasn't until my late 20's that I began a relationship with Him. I took it day by day. Every day I talked to Him fir 5 or 10mins, the way I would talk to a friend. Little by little our relationship grew. Everyday try talking to God fir 5 or 10mins just like you would talk to a friend. Or maybe write a letter to him everyday in a journal. Your relationship with him will grow as you continue to grow 💓

Prayers for my husband to forgive me and remember why he fell in love with me. Speaking the name of Jesus over him and our marriage.
@life.church
@life.church Жыл бұрын
Dear Heavenly Father, We lift up Mandy and her husband to You today. We know that their marriage is going through a difficult time and we ask for Your intervention to bring healing to their relationship. Lord, we ask that You soften the heart of Mandy's husband and help him to forgive her for any wrongs she may have committed. Give him the strength to let go of any resentment or bitterness and guide him towards the path of forgiveness. We pray that You remind him of the qualities that attracted him to Mandy in the first place. Allow him to see her through Your eyes; a beautiful and loving woman who is worth fighting for. Father, we ask that You work in their marriage to bring about reconciliation and restoration. Above all, we pray that You be the center of their marriage. Help them to rely on You daily for guidance and wisdom as they navigate through their relationship. We trust that You have the power to heal any relationship. I pray through Your Son Jesus, Amen! -Kathleen

I know that many of our lives have been impacted deeply by the sins and betrayal of others. Your word speak life and hope God increase my faith! The faith to forgive. Who betrayed, mistreated, took advantage of you especially when betrayed by someone you loved dearly and had your best interest at heart. It could have been a mom that no matter what yoy did always seem to make you small and insignificant. Unforgiveable things. I have been betrayed in a significant way. How do you forgive if you don't feel like forgiving. It's like vacuuming with all the power within you have and it still don't come up. Heart wrenching. Eph 4:32 Love your enemies and pray for those persecuting you. Forgive others freely just as your heavenly father forgives you. To forgive does not mean necessarily forgetting

Father, we come before You, asking for Your help and guidance in the journey of forgiveness. We ask for Your divine assistance in releasing any feelings of resentment, anger, or bitterness that Missy may be holding onto. Grant her the strength and humility to forgive those who have hurt or wronged her. Help her to let go of the pain and emotional burdens that weigh heavily on her heart. Teach her to extend the same grace and mercy that You have shown her, towards those who have caused her harm. Lord, we understand that forgiveness is a process, and we ask for Your patience and guidance as she navigates through it. In Jesus’ name amen!

Forgiveness is so liberating!!!!! I love the intro video of the woman holding a hand full of sharp nails and the guy squeezing broken glass and the question, “Are you holding on to painful things?” It makes the point that grudges often hurt us more than the person that wounded us. Craig I know this message is dated by you tube terms but I’ll share here. My second daughter was sexually assaulted in January of 22 she was 13 the assailant was 21. He stalked and coerced and hunted her. There is some real sickness in her heart. She is recovering. He is incarcerated. We have learned he’s receiving a plea for probation. I was beside myself and somewhat still am but this mess at is what I needed. Im also a husband who has not been faithful in the past. We’re both still over this 5 years later. When my wife and I reconciled in ‘17 we were blessed with our youngest from outside the marriage. He’s my baby boy. Nothing less. The month after we got back together our home was flooded 4’ during Harvey. My relationship with God was reared from Christian parents every time the door was open folks. Long story short, this was what I needed. Thank you so much.

Amen! I know forgiving others who have harmed us is not always easy! When we follow a Matthew 5:44-45 principle it allows the Lord to move in our hearts and cleanse us! Even a simple prayer of : I forgive (enter name) for all the hurt and pain they've caused me, Lord I ask that you bless them in Jesus name! That prayer allows the Lord to heal your heart! Matthew 5:44-45 (NKJV) But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. The first time I've ever prayed for my enemy was in 4th grade to my teacher. She was friends with my friend's mom and every time I was talking to my friend I would be called out and not her. Each semester we would have an awards ceremony and even though our grades were the same and my participation was more I was in 2nd place and my friend was 1st place. When I prayed for my teacher and my friend a prayer of blessing, it changed the way that I viewed them. Each time I saw them I would not be reminded of this unfair treatment. If I was reminded, I knew I need to keep praying for them. The 2nd semester I was tied with her for 1st place! When we follow God's way we are filled with true peace and joy. We need to stop trying to resolve conflict our own ways!! We must follow God's ways. If we trust God then we trust his Commandments. I am now 25 y/o and I still follow this way of praying for those I have conflict with such as my coworkers/boss, roommates, parents, etc. The first time you ever pray this way it is hard, no joke. It gets easier over time. You think that person doesn't deserve the blessings and you do! But did you forget that God is a JUST God? He will determine who is deserving of the blessings. God will also open your eyes up to whether or not you are at fault for any of the conflict. A lot of times our ego/pride blinds us from seeing who is actually at fault. When we see what is our fault we must repent for it. Whenever we follow God's commandments, we experience peace and joy. Our unforgiveness is what is stealing our peace and joy. The purpose of us praying for our enemies is to lessen our ego/pride daily so there is less of us and more of Him. Here's how to pray and ask God to bless those you have tension with/are jealous of/hate: --Ask God for strength to pray that prayer. --Ask God that all the blessings He would have blessed you with would be given to that particular person and it be overflowing. --Ask God to bless that person in their finances, health, family/relationships, work, etc. Ask God that every aspect of their life would prosper. --Ask God that all the things that person desires will be given to him/her even if it is disadvantageous to you ----Only ask God to BLESS and not curse or for God to change that person Each time you are reminded of that person/situation, keep praying again and again blessing over them. I pray that for anyone who reads this comment will give it at least a 2 week trial. it is worth it if you want to experience peace and joy in your life and to see what God will do. Even if it isn't your fault for what happened, when you pray and ask God to bless that person, know that God is fair and just and he will give the blessings to those who deserve it. When we ask God to bless those we don't get along with, we see the situation through God's perspective and no longer our own.

I am so very sorry 🥺😢😔 for your painful experience. I myself was molested by an uncle when I was 9 years old. We never did end up pressing charges bc he was the only breadwinner for my aunt and her family. Fast forward a couple years he was gunned down in Mexico by a cartel for being involved in things he should’ve never been involved with. I forgive him. But how I wish he was still alive to forgive him in person and give him the gospel. I pray he repented and accepted Jesus in his heart before he passed 😔💔. It’s hard at times to forgive and I still struggle to forgive others sometimes. But I pray God will increase our faith and love in our hearts to see ourselves and others how he sees us and them. It never excuses the bad and vile actions of other people but most, if not all, people are hurting, lost, and dead in their trespasses in this broken world. It can only take the love of Jesus Christ to change them and have them repent. As Ephesians 6 says we do not struggle with flesh and blood enemies but evil spirits and principalities that exploit people and their wounds. Again, not an excuse ever bc people must own up to their actions and be held responsible for them. But most of these people never do and most of these people unfortunately end up in hell for all of eternity. Which truly breaks my heart. We must pray for them 🙏🏽 because not even God wishes that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

I needed that. I struggle and have struggled for a long time with forgiving my mom and dad for getting a divorce. They both lie to me about it and won’t tell me the full truth to make themselves look better. I was only three! I had no good memories and all I remember is them arguing and when they told me they were getting a divorce and what that meant. I was one the old leather couches that used to be in my living room weeping behind my mom’s back unable to look at my dad or my mom. I was so upset even at age three and I still am, but I know I need to forgive them. And then my stepmom has refused to forgive me of something I did in fourth grade and lies about me to people. All my parents make assumptions about me and come to the worst conclusions. I love them but I don’t know if I can ever like them. I would sacrifice myself for them or anyone any day any time. At my dad’s they are not Christian. They say they are but no part of their lives represents it. And at my mom’s I feel like she does kinda try but most of the time is a hypocrite. And my step dad is an ex marine and has major anger issues and is a complete hypocrite but if I point anything out to try and help him he gets mad at me. I know it is not my place to judge and God is the only one to rightly judge. I was bullied all throughout elementary school starting in pre-k. I have had a horrible “friendship” where she completely betrayed me and ripped me to pieces and it went on and on and I am still healing from all of this stuff but I do know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Also tonight before I saw this I read Matthew 5:43-44 and I most definitely was not expecting to see it again. Thank you pastor Craig for giving such a great message! 💚✝️

I FORGIVE OTHERS VERY WELL..IT WAS FORGIVING MYSELF I STRUGGLED WITH BUT CRAIG GROESCHEL HAS GIVEN ME PEACE!! AND THANK YOU!! COMPASSION-What our society today needs more than anything is the spirit of empathy-the ability to put ourselves in the shoes of those who are facing hardship and suffering, to understand and share what they are going through. When the spirit of compassion becomes the bedrock of society, and is embodied by society’s leaders, the future will be bright with hope.

I'm having trouble knowing if I truly forgive my former bully. As kids he and his friends never seemed to stop tormenting me even after my mom had a miscarriage with my sister, my grandfather died, and a brother who only lived for 52 minutes after birth. Just recently I found out he ended his own life and had depression, anxiety and schizophrenia. I know he had a rough life but it didn't give him the right to make me his punching bag. He gave me depression and anxiety too. I went to his grave to let him know everything I hated about him and told him I wouldn't let him or the others dictate my life anymore. I can't get an apology because he passed on and don't know what to do. Everyone told me his life was probably awful because of his death, but it it's an excuse for his behavior to me. I prayed that God would take my hatred of him and all the others who made me feel worthless, I prayed for him family and even told him to rest in peace. I said I forgive him and everyone else I let it all out. Anything you can tell me?

I have forgiven my enemies because if I don't I go against God's will. I still feel some hurt when I remember. But I try to avoid anything that may cause me to get angry again. I also have a problem forgiving myself for reacting the way I did. But I cling to God through our Lord Jesus Christ to help me. The "feeling" comes and goes. But I never depend too much on feelings. It us not a measure to the love abd forgiveness of God Almighty.

The hardest thing for me to know is whether I am being unforgiving towards someone or just simply wanting to stand up for what's right. Since forgiveness is letting go, it's hard to know how to forgive but also confront what's wrong. I have been told I have unforgiveness towards the leadership in my church because of how they handled a situation with excommunicating my husband without my knowledge, for a mental breakdown that he had which negatively affected the church. I don't feel that they did "wrong" so much as things could be done better so that people don't get so badly hurt in the future. But it is sticking with me, and I keep circling back around to it because there isn't resolution. It is painful, as my husband isn't allowed there, and I must leave the church eventually because he is not there. But I don't want to leave until things are resolved. I just don't know if I"m unforgiving, or simply want to approach the leadership about how they handled it. It's so hard when dealing with these situations inside the church especially if you're just a regular member wanting to approach senior leadership.

Father God, We thank, You, that we can always come to You for everything. You, Lord, know all about this situation and the details. We place it in Your hands for resolution. Please give all involved clarity and wisdom and may each of them reach out to You in prayer for guidance. You know the walls that need to come down and how to do it. Please place people in the paths of those involved to help all put the focus on You. Please change hearts like only You can. In Jesus’ name, Amen Keli ”Whoever finds God, finds life!”

Maybe you can approach the leadership and tell them how you feel and what can be done better in the future, but that regardless you forgive them. Then you can leave. I believe that will give you peace in your heart because you expressed what was on your heart but also made it a point to forgive. Whether they take your advice/counsel is on them. Let God deal with them afterwards and just pray that God would reveal to them where they went wrong.

There are other 'churches' you can go to. You and your husband. If your husband is repentant and asked God for forgiveness. God forgave him. The ones who are bitter against him, now must forgive. You are only responsible for your sin. You are not the cause of what happened. I hope you find a favorable outcome. God loves all of us because we all fall short of the glory of God. God bless you.
