Funny the people only stat checking saying Penix had a pick and only 205 yards. Anyone who watched that game saw a veteran level game with no bad reads and great decision making. Multiple drops and the freak int that was 0% on him. He also converted a few 3rd and longs that led to scores, dude did not play like a first timer. Also had more yards than any rookie in their debut this season

Actually the falcons made a smart move from a management standpoint.. Signing Kirk who was the favorite to win the mvp before he tore his Achilles while drafting Penix as insurance was a good move.. the issue is their coaching and schemes.. Cousins success and most QBs success including Brady was off play action and motion.. yet the falcons have the lowest % of play action and motion.. but coaches are always quick to blame their QB instead of taking accountability and we’re seeing it play out..

Falcons are already in control of a postseason spot. It's Tampa Bay that's fighting trying to take it from them. If the Falcons win their next 2 games they win the division. If the Falcons and Bucs both win 1 game the Falcons win the division. If the Falcons and Bucs both lose the rest of their games the Falcons win the division. The Bucs have to win at least 1 more game than the Falcons over the next 2 games for the Falcons to not make the playoffs. Even if both temas win next week that's good for the Falcons. Even if both teams lose next week that's good for the Falcons.

Falcons were stacked everywhere and their main issue was QB.. signing Cousins who was the favorite to win the mvp prior to his injury and whom has been a consistent top 10 QB for a majority of his career while drafting Penix as insurance was a smart move from a management standpoint.. the issue is their coaching and schemes..
