Videos don’t do it justice. My wife and I stay at least one weekend a year, and we get so excited to get there. Take your bikes, ride/walk up the middle by the fort, and cruise above the city. Very peaceful. We even found the dump. Also give yourself one night to do THE SIP AND SAIL CRUISE. Awesome time. You get to see life from below the Big Mac. Take care and enjoy

I live in NW Michigan and have seen many portrayals of the Island, usually as promotion or vacation video - but yours surpasses them by looking at some of the hidden places that aren't usually portrayed. Great video - and thanks for sharing it.

So gorgeous! I love the wisdom you shared. Mackinac Island use to be our play ground. I miss my summers there. Now, I play in Sedona, Arizona. A glorious place of beauty.

This island reminds me a bit of Cape May, New Jersey, the Hamptons, L.I. N.Y., Martha's Vineyard, MA, Chatham, MA, and Amish Country in PA all rolled into one island..What a great hidden treasure right here in the good old U.S.A.!

Dear Elise, It's time to hug Jesus. He loves you and wants you to talk to him about all that is in your heart. He will take away your sadness and you will receive hope and gentle peace. Go to Mackinac Island and sit alone on the ground in a beautiful secluded spot and close your eyes and breathe and pray and cry and leave the tears in that place and only rise when the peace of God washes over you. You will be free 😆

I too am going through bad times right now. Thank you for your video of my dream place to live even though I do have some of my own. I have been to Mackinac Island 3 times staying at the Grand Hotel. It’s just so beautiful that I never wanted to leave! I would recommend this place to everyone to go and experience the beauty of Mackinac Island. ❤️

Hi Matt! I went there in the fall of 1969. It still haunts me today. I was with my boyfriend....who the next year became my husband. We rented bikes to ride...were riding around the island. A man came to the end of his driveway to the road we were riding our bikes. He had blood dripping from his mouth. He had blood on his chest, hands, blood everywhere. To me at the time... It was frightening. I thought he was a cannibal....he looked at us with this ungodly wicked laugh and licking his fingers....needless to say it has been over 54 years and we never went back.

Matt what was the week in October when you went? We are going next month for the first time. Grand Hotel and the Somewhere In Time weekend!! I have wanted to go for 40 years and am sooo excited. Looking at your video , there were still leaves on the trees and plants. With us going on the last few days of the month I didn't know IF there would even be any leaves....cold, freezing?? I just LOVE this video, I don't even KNOW how many times I have watched it. Enchanting!!!!!!!!
