Been listening to this album since college, its one of my favourites. There's a kind of minimalist genius to it I reckon. This song in particular is is so savory. Its like a big, doughy thick-crust cheese pizza. You nom it for 6 and a half minutes until its all gone, and although there isn't much variance in it, there doesn't need to be. Its just solid, tasty, and soooo good.

If I had to list my top ten albums this album would def. Be on it. I bought this the day it came out at Tower Records and that night, by a one in a million coincidence I ate some mushrooms for the first time ( there wasn't much of anything that I hadn't tried by then, but shrooms were one of them) that night, I opened the CD, laughed when I saw the big mushroom, pressed play, and by the middle of this song, everyone was like "what the hell is that shit?!? It sucks!! Except me and my best friend at the time, we were staring at the stereo (yeah, back then there were these gigantic things called stereos)

Haha yeah, I've seen interviews with Al and he says they were so deep into the heroin he doesn't remember any of the studio time and recording except for tossing everything paul barker and the drummer wrote, called them the book club Lmao! But I think there are some albums that on some cosmic level that we don't understand have to materialize. Another being Megadeth's Rust in Peace, there are youtube videos where Dave is interviewed and he can't explain how most of that album came into being, it just flowed out.

This song helped me drown out the pain of a tooth ache on several occasions, and that’s serious. Literally took my mind off the pain. Didn’t try hard either. I just focused on the meaning of this song and a tooth ache doesn’t feel so bad. Look at me, my whole body aches, just from being alive.
