The US and Canada have a coordination of defense and security pact it is not completely unlikely that Canada would have their own division elements. Plus if this is cannon we could find out the division has a globe network with key allies all having their own division agents and command

I doubt the division is in a global network considering they report directly to Sec Def. It would be more likely that every major world power would have their own unit that is analogous to the division. How much they share information and assets would depend on the relationship between any two countries, similar to the way special forces is now. Canada could actually go either way, but I would think it would probably just be US citizens who immigrated to Canada who would be activated.

@@walterpowell472 and which one of those networks revolves around what anyone would consider a tier 1 operator and the control of them?? There's a very big difference between a network of intelligence sharing and a network that shares control of a country's top tier soldiers. Even amongst NATO or the UN, they share Intelligence assets to the extent of sharing the information in certain circumstances, but the ultimate control of whether or not to deploy a particular unit that is deemed best suited to the mission is entirely up to the country of origin. If the UK needed the SEALs or Delta Force, we'd probably ablidge, but they wouldn't be under the UK's direct command, but rather be used by the US command structure in service of the objective for the UK.

The whole Canadian Division Agents thing doesn't make much sense, especially with what we know today about the development of ISAC, ANNA, and DIAMOND, who paid for them, and how they are interconnected. Yes, Canada is part of the Five Eyes, as is Australia and NZ for that matter, but if the US Department of Homeland Security sets up The Division there might be something similar in other countries, but it wouldn't be the same thing. Just like the militaries from each country are separate if allied. Interesting concept though, and somewhat positive in outlook towards the end. Appreciate you sharing. I certainly hadn't seen it.

This is wild. In truth I only recently found this channel. I've been playing all the division content I can find on repeat as I'm playing through the game again. The game literally changed my life. I mean that literally. The division trailers are what finally convinced me to get an Xbox. It's the game that brought me closer to my friends, which made me decide to go to college where I met my wife. Had a kid almost two years ago. Life got rough and I'm going through a divorce now but I'm with the most amazing woman I've ever met now and I'm playing through the game again remembering where my life changed. Literally because I was desperate to play a video game.

I think it makes sense that there would be SHD units in Canada, and maybe Mexico. The border with them is literally just a line on a map, there isn't some stark social, cultural, or physical border between us, so whatever happens here would spill over there, and historically our armed forces and intelligence communities have worked together quite deeply.

It's actually not all that far fetched, because of our close ties. The U.S. is our biggest trade partner and our armed forces routinely train and work together. The line about her wondering about delay in the activation even fits, since it's an American unit operating across the border. Frankly, I would LOVE to see this explored more as DLC or side project like Heartland. Also kinda sad to say that after Covid, the depictions in this video aren't as unlikely as most Canadians would like to think (It's kind of a cultural thing here to look down on Americans somewhat but really we're not that much better lol) The video also have me deja vu of the trucker nonsense, yeesh that was wild.

The whole SHD is based in the USA so not sure how other countries would have the same organization. Plus the US isn't big on sharing tech...well unless they are sending it somewhere to test it. I could see Division agents along the border as deterrent to enterring or leaving the country though and since the city of toronto is right on the border I could see wanting extra "security". I can neither confirm nor deny that there's an agent who was involved in CDN/USA border security. If you know you know.

I think a great way to recapture that vibe without going backwards would be implement seasonal weather. Autumn leaves, winter snow, spring storms, summer heatwaves. Show the game world changing over time.

Allegiant stadium wouldn’t be in the division 3 if that’s even a thing cause the first game game takes place in 2016 and they didn’t break ground till the next year in 17 and to add the second game in 7 months or so after the first I believe so although cool idea doubt it’d be a thing.

Even as a Canadian I agree its unlikely SHD would include 🇨🇦. But we do share the largest undefended border and cooperate in numerous military and intelligence groups. NORAD is a shared base so SHD would have been discussed or at leaked. Plus both nations are apart of the Five Eyes Intelligence group so another possibility there. Plus there's also the rumour of shared citizen surveillance where "supposedly" since its illegal to spy on your own citizens CSIS and the NSA farm it out to each other. Meaning CSIS spies on american citizens for the US and NSA spies on Canadian citizens for Canada. But I'm sure that's false *cough* snowden *cough*. Lots of opportunities to share that information but as the 🇺🇸 has 10x the population of 🇨🇦 much less organization is needed.

Canadian division agents sounds dope. There’s a couple possibilities that exist for this. First is a bilateral agreement between the governments or between homeland security which the division falls under and realistically public safety Canada (PSC). PSC is responsible for crisis management among its mandate and has regional offices so hypothetically an agreement to jointly train and operate under a unified command. The rationale is simple the USA and Canada are extremely close allies and anything that effects one will touch the other so joint crisis management makes sense. Second is the U.S. created division cells in friendly countries (maybe even rival ones but I’ll touch that later) if the U.S. values it’s rules based global order it would benefit from restoring its allies back to full strength, this could once again be done through bilateral agreements to keep it secret from other governments or through a multilateral agreement. The idea being that it could restore itself or allies back before its rivals could. We need to explore the great division universe.

AFAIK (I am from Germany) Canada is much less dense populated than the USA, so the spread should not reach everywhere. The Idea of a "Joint multinational Division" like in Stargate Atlantis is a nice one, and I would like to see it done
