I firmly and wholeheartedly agree with this video. Cody was my absolute FAVORITE character, right above Chef Pee Pee. I found him as a breath of fresh air. Without him, we’d still have a pretty good character. Personally I think Mario had the worst fall, he was never my "FAVORITE" but back in the classic era and the junior era to a lesser extent, he was a straight man who actually cared about his friends and family. He struck a good balance between being the glue that holds the madness together, while also being someone who wanted adventure and sometimes went along with the wacky antics of black Yoshi, Woody, Shrek ECT. But now he is a one note, bland, greedy mess of a character, he constantly backstabs he friends and family whenever money is involved, he rarely ever helps his friends unless he is forced to, and he went from the straight man to a miserable old man who constantly has to put up with Jeffy and Rose's annoying antics. He went from interacting with pretty much every character and being the MAIN CHARACTER, to only interacting with Jeffy, Rose, and Brooklyn Guy. How times change, I miss old Mario.

I will agree that "Marvin" is nowhere close to Mario however, Mario started his fall from grace as early as 2016 when he stopped having unique character interactions and started to be a "stressed out dad" type character, but objectively his downfall truly started in 2019 when he started being a greedy self centered idiot. So I don't believe the switch to the puppets is what caused the problems with his character, it really only enhanced the problems that were already there. But that's my opinion.

Joseph is just lovell as kid when he was in the hood. Chef pp is just early 20's lovell when he was slowly getting out of the hood. Bowser is just modern lovell whose less hood but is trying to br hood and gangster. Lovell really needs to stop putting himself into the characters. I think the Huckerdoos are very overhated especially with Hank and Timmy. And Chef Pee Pee in more recent videos is starting to look and sound more and more Italian and glimpses of his 2015 character are still present in him like in the tornado when junior said he was going to die and chef pee pee was celebrating that was a part of his character. Also in the free pizza he sounded like classic chef pee pee Italian and sarcastic and not just BLACK. So I get where your coming from but I think people are overreacting with the fell offs in the charachters. Hank is very funny as he can be a good friend and rival to Marvin his no nonsense personality is a breath of fresh air as his jokes get straight to the point and he shows a facade of a nice father and generic middle aged man but in actuallity he’s an angry Ruthless SOB, you see how much depth this ONE Huckerdoo has I’m trying to tell everyone Sml charachters haven’t been that bad as people say the are fallen off sure but very overreacted in my opinion. Now let’s talk about Tommy, Timmy is just not a gay stereotype he’s an abused child that grew up with homophobic parents and doesn’t let him do anything except read a bible or play instruments just because he’s gay so when the opportunity he has to make friends he tries to get one in every way possible and I think his social awkwardness is also part of his character as because he barely has any social interaction his conversations seem off, I hope this shows you that the Huckerdoo’s are not one note and actually have more depth in there charachters then you actually think we haven’t had a rival for Marvin since the junior era or even Classic era and we haven’t had another friend that is not just the junior trio since Toad. At this point we’re watching modern SML for the sakes of filler and mainly, their legacy. Characters like PP, Cody, Joseph, and even Junior used to be some of my favorites to now some of the WORST characters! Let me explain for Junior: Standalone wise, back then, he was an annoying brat, but at least created interesting and funny interactions with Cody and PP being angry to him. I genuinely think that Logan and the crew are putting less effort into the videos recently because of more personal responsibilities. They see it as more of a job now rather than something to enjoy. Think about it: Logan and Chilly have a baby. Ditto goes for Lovell, hence why Chef Pee Pee barely even makes an appearance anymore. This problem can easily be solved if they focused on quality over quantity, but they’re so greedy that they put out junk every two days instead of focusing on what the fans really want.

Right...in all probability the SML franchise has run its course. As the series stands now it's got all kinds of problems. The SML kids are 15 years old or thereabout, yet their puppet bodies reflect an age around that of 7 or 8 years of age. The kids attend an Elementary School even though they should be enrolled in either Middle School/Junior High or High School by now. The kids still play children's games and frequently play "House," activities that most 15 year olds have long since stopped doing. I would bring up Cody playing with his Ken doll but that's an entirely different super messed up situation particular to only Cody that's quite pathetic and sad and also likely the result of some undiagnosed schizophrenia. Ken regularly appears in SML episodes. As far as I can see Cody "uses" Ken as much as he ever did. Why just the other day Cody used Ken as a rectal suppository in StinKEN. Honestly I don't like thinking about Cody "using" Ken as it of course would lead to the degenerate pervert stuff Cody is wont to do. Personally I miss Cody Torture. His character was developed to take abuse and conflict from Junior. He gets little sympathy from me when you take into consideration what an oversexed line crosser he is with Junior, not to mention he's a sex predator, and when you add in all the truly f**led up things about him, his family, and his nature, I kinda root for him getting his ass kicked for sh*ts and giggles.

I would disagree. Cody in recent has years has had some bad moments. But overall, Cody is still carrying Sml. Brooklyn Guy has changed and gone down (although he's having better moments now) Chef Peepee is the same way. Jr and Joseph and Cody are really carrying Sml. Jeffy is only in the videos because he's Jeffy. Honestly, I look forward to seeing Jr, Joseph, and Cody, Goodman, Huckerdoos, Craig, and Jonathan. Since the Huckerdoos and Jonathan are newer characters, I think Logan has more freedom to do whatever he wants with them and it's coming off pretty naturally and I've thoroughly enjoyed their moments on screen and I notice I laugh more when the characters interact with them instead of Brooklyn Guy. Even though, he still has a few good moments, those are ruined by his bad moments, like the story animations (I don't know who likes those, besides Logan. They're not funny, a complete waste of time, and it takes time away from the actual video and plot). But I'd argue Cody has slightly gone down, but he's still carrying Sml like he has been for the past 5 years. The Jr Joseph and Cody videos are usually pretty good, and anytime the Huckerdoos or Jonathan or Goodman make an appearance, it's usually good. But the Mario Brooklyn Guy videos, are so awful, I feel so empty and unsatisfied after watching them. It's just not like how it was back in at the his mom's house, the apartment and even the early days of the new house. Brooklyn Guy was hilarious, the best character. Now Logan has destroyed him. It's not that he uses him too much, but he's changed his personality and purpose. Brooklyn Guy used to be the voice of reason in all the chaos and stupidity. Brooklyn Guy was relatable. But overall Cody is still the same. Definitely not like old Cody. NOTHING can match old Cody. Old Cody and old Brooklyn Guy carried Sml back in those days. But it didn't feel like they were because all the other characters were still good too.

Cody was always One of the Last Great Characters in SML as well as the Last Intelligent One in the Channel but now Logan is shaping him the Same Way as everyone else to make him Dumb to make the Story Easier than making the Characters Unique, ever since Junior kidnaps Penelope I knew it was the Beginning of the End of Cody the same way I thought Brooklyn Guy’s Bad Day was the beginning of Good Brookie, I still think that Brooklyn, Chef Pee Pee, and Joseph are the Biggest Characters with Downfalls, Mario has become the Biggest Loser m, Junior was always a Bad Character that has gotten Worse, Penelope and Bowser has so much Potential that is wasted, Jeffy is a Dry Plot Device, the Hunkerdoos could have be better is they were like the Flanders than adding more Dysfunctional Characters, and the Rest of the Relationships are either Stereotypes, Cheaters, Toxic, or Dumb, Cody like Brookie and Penelope were supposed to be Realistic and Smart Character which is a Rarity, yes he’s Weird and Gay but he was a Great Character we could Relate and we even felt sorry for him, now Logan will do what he’s talented other than being the Camera Man and Draining every single piece of Likability until there’s nothing left and Push the Gayest, Dumb, Crazy, and Dry Humor Up to 11 with Cody, I’m hoping this is a Small Fluke but I’m not going to deny that this could be the Beginning of Cody’s Downfall.

the Huckerdoos are very overhated especially with Hank and Timmy. And Chef Pee Pee in more recent videos is starting to look and sound more and more Italian and glimpses of his 2015 character are still present in him like in the tornado when junior said he was going to die and chef pee pee was celebrating that was a part of his character. Also in the free pizza he sounded like classic chef pee pee Italian and sarcastic and not just BLACK. So I get where your coming from but I think people are overreacting with the fell offs in the charachters. Hank is very funny as he can be a good friend and rival to Marvin his no nonsense personality is a breath of fresh air as his jokes get straight to the point and he shows a facade of a nice father and generic middle aged man but in actuallity he’s an angry Ruthless SOB, you see how much depth this ONE Huckerdoo has I’m trying to tell everyone Sml charachters haven’t been that bad as people say the are fallen off sure but very overreacted in my opinion. Now let’s talk about Tommy, Timmy is just not a gay stereotype he’s an abused child that grew up with homophobic parents and doesn’t let him do anything except read a bible or play instruments just because he’s gay so when the opportunity he has to make friends he tries to get one in every way possible and I think his social awkwardness is also part of his character as because he barely has any social interaction his conversations seem off, I hope this shows you that the Huckerdoo’s are not one note and actually have more depth in there charachters then you actually think we haven’t had a rival for Marvin since the junior era or even Classic era and we haven’t had another friend that is not just the junior trio since Toad. I hope this gives you a bigger understanding.

@@thepandasamurai228 I will admit that Chef Pee Pee is recently acting like how he should have been all these Years than whatever the hell was Chef Pee Pee’s Girlfriend and Kiss, as for the Huckerdoos technically I don’t hate them in a Extent, Timmy is still my Favorite of the 4, yes he has because over exaggerated with his Gayness however I still like the Character, Suzanne and Suzie don’t have enough Interesting Personalities or Relatability and is less of Elaina’s Fault and more of Logan’s as SML has Terrible Female Representation, Hank while Funny at Times and I like the Rivalry with Mario, however he’s the Worst of the Huckerdoos and why they don’t work when we have seen Cheaters, Abusers, Narcissists, Hypocrites, and A-Holes in SML that’s not New, he’s basically a Mini Goodman but less Funny and Overdramatic.

But I don’t like people saying that Sml charachters are bad just because there bad people and Hank can sometimes be a nice person if you go trough the videos he’s also a very affable person. Not all charachters have to be angels from the sky yes there’s to many A-Holes right now but People want every single character to be nice and I just don’t like that especially with Junior he clearly a parody of Eddy from Ed Edd n Eddy and Eric Cartman two amazing characters that people all love but for some reason people hate junior because he’s horrible I just see that as a very dumb reason to label someone as a bad character. Hank is very diffrent from Goodman the only similarities is that they are narcissistic and horrible fathers. While Goodman screams all the time and throws out insults with every sentence he speaks Hank is calm and affable (sometimes just don’t make him angry) Hank can be helpful and a rival to Mario. Mario can greet Hank while Hank greets him like there friends from highschool while also being petty rivals. Goodman on the other hand is affable to very few people and when he does talk nice to somebody is usually not something he truly means. So I disagree but I just don’t get this narrative that we fans have.

In my opinion, Mario, Black Yoshi, and Goodman had the worst downfalls. But if I had to pick just one, You'd think I'd say Black Yoshi, But No, I'm gonna say Mario. My reasoning is because at first he was the "straight man" of the channel. He was just your Average Joe trying to get through his day with a bunch of crazy people around him. But now, As the channel started to progressively lose its purpose, Mario lost his too. Because of that, SML doesn’t stand for anything anymore. It doesn’t MEAN SuperMarioLogan anymore. It's now more accurately "Super Jeffy's Abusive Dad Logan". That's the role Mario got slowly reduced to, And that's the role he continues to play now.

This is something I like to call the "Mr. Krabs Effect". You see, back in the good ol' days of Spongebob, Mr. Krabs was a far more complex and relatable character. However, over the years the writers just kept automatically making every joke and story with him about money just because it's easy. And a lot of SML characters are clearly suffering from the Mr. Krabs Effect as well. Logan just keeps resorting to half baked jokes and stories about being black or gay just because it's easy. And it inevitably ends up getting boring and predictable.

A lot of the characters in modern SML feel like the characters in modern SpongeBob to me. It's like aspects of their personalities have become the only thing that's used in the writing, to the point where the jokes just feel like they're stating traits of the characters instead of actually using them to their advantage.
