Well let’s talk about how this went in our Galaxies. In mine I played an Ant like race, where I formed a big hive. I discovered the Sol system and it was under control of another empire. Of course I fought them and freed Earth. I upgraded them so they would be Space Crusaders. I loved them. Then after a while the Preythorn came. Our fleets were smashed and I moved most of my armies to Earth. My federation was first to fall (We were closest to landing zone and nobody else was helping us, by the time they mobilized it was too late. I spent a long time just building droid armies on Earth defending it. Then it fell.

Usually Earth is either a vassal of another empire or is part of an empire either way the human's migrate around and spark a rebellion in whatever empire they enter without fail and 75% of the time they die out but will try again time and time again. I come to the scene and first thing I do is either expel all alien life forms or order the imminent extermination. As there can only be one people one party in this house and they're not part of it. If they wish to live they best migrate over to one of my vassal states. Though if the game goes on long enough I slowly systematically absorb all alien vassals and kill off the impurities before reforging the vassals this is to ensure the new vassal will be stronger then the one that came before. One people one vision.
