After we lost Peep, X, and Juice we basically lost the godfathers of emo rap. But the thing is the emo rap genre has a lot of pain and addiction in it, it is by definition emotional music. And I believe the genre just by its nature be very volatile. But it saved my life tho real shit.

i personally don’t get the kid laroi hate, it’s quite clear he was just more of a singer than a rapper and he was in the rap scene for a bit but over time his ‘rapping’ wasn’t that good so he decided to just go into pop because even if it’s maybe not what he wanted to do that’s what suited his skill set more. He still makes the occasional rap song like his last album he had a few and there was burning up with nardo wick which i did like but it doesn’t mean people should hate on him just cus he suits another genre more

I can't really put into words how well you put the thoughts I had a hard time putting into words; Into words. As a very small up and coming rapper who feels like the game took a sharp turn when these big 3 died, it's rough out here tryna be on the more lyrical side. This video confirms a lot of thoughts and connects a lot of dots that I really just can't describe man, thank you for real for real. It sucks that I can see why the state of hip hop is what it is right now and I just have to try and bridge lyrical to that instead of something that REALLY meant a lot to me; like emo rap. I feel like I'm gonna be restricted to only doing tribute style projects just because these 3 died and took emo rap with them. Shit hurts man, but I really appreciate this video beyond possible description. It's a confirmation I came to the right conclusion; invaluable. 🙏 You earned a sub here bro

All their music you felt as well as heard, you felt the emotion, the pain, the anger, the sadness, the realness, the cries for help, their art was crazy and it’s honestly so sad we don’t get to hear more music from these artists as they have now passed because the talent all 3 of them possessed is crazy and they would and probably still will go down as legends to the new wave of teenagers and even the old heads have the respect their music at this point like it or not. I got inspired by x, lil peep , iann dior, Juice WRLD, and Trippie redd of the emo rap sub genre. When I grow up I want to a producer and a singer which I'm still taking classes for music in general. If I don't make it well nobody can take ot from me 🥲🖤😅

Great vid, but feels like it could be a bit biased at times, for example, you mention laroi having a father in the industry and say that he "didnt have any catalouge" before getting vids for ll. He did actually have some music, he made music since he was like 12, and i remember seeing him at different music / hiphop competitions when he was a lil kid

That sucks emo rap died down. It’s actually great music… I’m an artist, & the type of music I make is emo rap. Not because it’s trendy or nothing, only because I grew up on bands like Thursday, Armor for sleep, A skylit drive, etc. & I loved lil peeps music. It is hard to get views on my music, but I like making the music I want to make

it’ll be hard to blow up with this sound now cus when x, juice and peep said stuff we knew it was true and how they lived, if someone comes out now with some of the lines they have people will just say “they’re tryna be juice wrld he doesn’t really feel that way” and until they get to a good size how can we believe it? what made the music that bit better was what they were saying was true whereas nowadays people try to hate before giving someone a chance so we’re not gonna connect with the lyrics as much plus we don’t know them
