I never really got into drill music because I didn't like how they glorified violence so much and lead to violence. It's literally why a lot of those rappers are dead and not just because they were in gangs or wanted smoke with their opps. It feels like Drill is cursed from the lifestyle it represents, Pop Smoke was it biggest hope and future for mainstream Drill. Specially with the success of SFTSAFTM, so much potential stopped brutally, it's so frustrating that he passed because of silly mistakes, no security, address leaked, no K9s ... It's still doesn't feel real that hip hop biggest rising stars like xxxTentacion, Juice WRLD, and Pop Smoke passed. RIP 🙏 I think because of this a huge hole has been left in the industry, Hip Hop is going through hard times, and hopefully this decade will bring new refreshing artists ... 🙏

Mainstream rap needs a serious reconstruction it has gotten too ignorant and the artistry has flatlined. But chief started the wave, and pop was the most recent real dawg still piping the American culture up of drill...there's plenty of others yeah. Never said they are the only examples. But they are the most recognizable. Sorry for the typos and or grammar. Drunk asssffff 😭😭🙏😂😂😂

I can't lie. You can't mention NY Drill with out mentioning UK DRILL cos it started in the raq then spread to uk then ended with NY 99% of NY drill was on uk drill beats and inspired by the uk style of drill

very few nyc niggas are still rapping on uk drill beats, most have transitioned over to jersey club beats and only use a british style beat on one offs song.

Then you also got to speak on Toronto Drill. Few UK guys uses their style without the Uk accent.

Drill is just to violent of a genre. How can people really have fun in the club when they talking about killing each other and the beef they had.

Chicago drill is the most dangerous genre, it's taken the most lives and has caused a lot of oppositions to go to war. Especially Young Pappy, he made every single song with a mention to every one of his oppositions that he has killed, probably one of the most disrespectful drill rappers from Chicago and will always be, it was to the point where his music was always authentic compared to Chief Keef's.

Pop smoke really did that with this genre, I didn’t even know it existed before him May he rip
