I never really got into drill music because I didn't like how they glorified violence so much and lead to violence. It's literally why a lot of those rappers are dead and not just because they were in gangs or wanted smoke with their opps. The only drill rapper I really liked was Pop Smoke and I didn't really knew his music until his passing. It's unfortunate that he became more known after that.

It feels like Drill is cursed from the lifestyle it represents, Pop Smoke was it biggest hope and future for mainstream Drill. Specially with the success of SFTSAFTM, so much potential stopped brutally, it's so frustrating that he passed because of silly mistakes, no security, address leaked, no K9s ... It's still doesn't feel real that hip hop biggest rising stars like xxxTentacion, Juice WRLD, and Pop Smoke passed. The reality is, Fivio had a fire flow and approach to drill, but it got really stale really fast, and he can't innovate so he's just stuck spinning in the mud. Him, and all NY drill rappers (maybe excluding Sheff and especially sleepy) are all one-dimensional. Pop Smoke was really the only major exception, he stepped out and touched multiple genres, used multiple flows, etc, its why he blew up.
