USA '94 was a great World Cup. Stop comparing it to Qatar. It was well organized and well executed. It had some wonderful games and memorable players. Italian '90 , that was horrendous.

The people who know football? 90 was so horrendous that points for a win was increased to 3 so that teams would not sit back so much and would play more attacking. Knockout rounds were absolute garbage as well with teams playing for penalties. Terrible World Cup. I am sorry but $hit football will not be praised by me. 70 was amazing, so was 82 and 86, 90 was $hit. Utter rubbish! From beginning to end. A million fouls and little quality football. 94 was much better. Far better.

U.S. Dept. of Justice decided to investigate FIFA only after USA have lost the 2022 bid to Qatar, trying to "eliminate" FIFA, but suddenly FIFA is preserved and USA is chosen as 2026 host. FIFA new President, supported by USA, decide to raise to 48 participants right after USA don't qualify for 2018. USSF President Sunil Gulati did not receive indictments although being part of the same Executive Committee, however after over a decade in power, he resigned during the process, remaining as chairman exactly until USA secure the 2026 host. US Lawyers use the term "Football HAD corruption or WAS corrupted" but the definition of corruption is "dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power", which still present in many clubs and Federations, including in USA. Those in power choosing coaches, players, directors or any other position without based in meritocracy is dishonest conduct, therefore corruption. Guess I'll have to wait another decade for Part 2
