Like seriously? How on earth did the Dahomey Kingdom ever come under Asante rule? / the entire of Togo and south western part of Nigeria? How did the Oyo Empire come under Asante rule? Why is there no historical evidence of such occurrence? Given the well documented nature of the Asante Kingdom and these other powerful West African Kingdoms, how is it possible that there is no historical evidence whatsoever to such claims? Which Asante Kings conquered these other West African Kingdoms? Their names? Why doesn’t history cover them? Once again, lies! The Asante Kingdom never encompassed all of West Africa.. / Togo, The Dahomey Kingdom, Oyo, etc. To those who first resort will be “hater”, all I have to say is google and information is free. AI is also free too. Go and read for yourselves. In this day and age, no one goes scot free with such petty lies skewed to make one group look superior 😂. I leave all viewers with this: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Atakpam%C3%A9 That is the Battle of Atakpame. When the Asantes tried entering / invading Dahomey by crossing the Volta River, they were dealt a huge blow! They had to retreat, with their Juabenhene killed in the said battle too. This was inflicted by The Kingdom of Dahomey.. they used their famous women warriors actually. So in essence, the Dahomean Ewe women soldiers beat Ashanti male warriors.. 😂.. Also, find details of the aftermath of the said battle here in light of Osei Kwadwo here: Under his predecessor, Kusi Obodom, Ashanti-Dahomey relations had soured.[16] After Dahomean King Kpengla came into power in the late 18th century, he sent an embassy with gifts to Kumasi to improve the relations between the two states. Osei Kwadwo requited this gesture by sending an embassy to Abomey, the capital of Dahomey. Historian Wilks hypothesizes that it was through these exchange of missions between the two leaders that the Togo hills was affirmed as a neutral zone between Ashanti and Dahomey.[17] Evidence: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osei_Kwadwo Other history books affirm this too.

a quick google and historical search will reveal to you that TOGO, BENIN and SOUTH WESTERN NIGERIA were never part of the Asante Kingdom. That area was known as the Slave Coast. The Kingdom encompassed parts of the coastal areas, present day Ashanti Region, Former Western Region, Eastern Region and parts of the Northern Region. Google and historical books confirm this as well. Where did this man learn his history? 😂. Plus if he insists, why wasn’t he able to state the Asante Kings who conquered the mighty Dahomey Kingdom? / Togo and Benin? And also the Asante Kings who conquered the Oyo Empire? There is absolutely no historical evidence.. either by books, Google / AI to corroborate the lies spewed by this man in the beginning. We are living in an age for information is very easy to come by, go and confirm for yourself if you think I’m telling lies.

In 1874, the Royal household took refuge in the village of Apampatia, near Ejisu. Kwaku Dua, a four-year-old royal earned the nickname "Prempeh", meaning detestable times. (The village of Apampatia is now a suburb of of Odaho). The boy Kwaku Duah went on to become Asantehene at the age of 18. Prempeh is the corrupted form of Brempeh (br3 a y3mp3= br3mpeh=Prempeh).

😂 Asantes Asantilizing. Well, The Savage Asantes had to be stopped. Schools and churches had to be built (for example, the Mfantsipim-Prempeh college story) to ensure fine gentlemen were raised in Asante to ensure things like human sacrifice, human worship, war mongering etc ended in Asante. Asante empire would have been intact had the Asantes avoided conflict with the Fantes who skillfully played them against the might of the British Empire (as a member of the empire). Hatred from Asantes towards Fantes is reasonable as I would also do the same, if some small insignificant tribe skillfully ended the empire of my ancestors. But please you have to understand the Fantes had no choice, and that is why the Fantes scholars worked to bring Prempeh back as acknowledged by even the tribal bigot historian in the video. The Fantes wanted him back because they had succeeded in killing the savagery in the Asantes and wouldn’t mind if their king was returned to them. Look we haven’t seen a tribal war in the area for more than a hundred years. The strategy worked. @@misscheeki-cheekie480 It not that we don’t know these things, we just don’t like bragging and talking plenty like some people 😂. @JeanSampson87 Жыл бұрын
Ashanti isn't a tribe. This is what most people don't get. Asante came about as a result of Denkyiras oppression of its vassal Akan states. Asante is a confederate formation that came together in 1701 of the Amansie towns around the lake bosomtwe area. Which later expanded far beyond into other lands like he mentioned in the beginning as a result of wars and conquest during that period between 1700s to the late 1800s.

@@JeanSampson87 Ashantis a tribe!! One homogeneous group cannot form a TRIBE! The name tribe should even alert u that, it’s made up of two or three homogeneous group of the same language, culture and by blood 🩸 One homogenous group is called A CLAN OR FAMILY ie oyoko is a calm or family, Aduana is a clan or family, bretuo is a clan or family but when one or two of these families who are related by BLOOD, traditional, cultures and language comes together, they ceases to be A CLAN OR FAMILY but rather becomes a TRIBE! When oyoko, bretuo, aduana who are families or clans related by BLOOD with common language and culture comes together, then A TRIBE IS FORM! ASHNATI which is made of homogenous clans or families such as bretuo, oyoko etc makes it a TRIBE of akan families or clans! Fante is a an akan tribe of homogenous CLANS or families related by blood ties Bono is an akan tribe of homogeneous clans or families related by blood ties ie aduana, oyoko etc The same with all the Akans tribes! They are all made up of the homogenous clans or families related by blood ties! Now, what’s a TRIBE firstly social division in a traditional society consisting of families or communities linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties, with a common culture and dialect, typically having a recognized leader. This is a true definition of a tribe and hence ASHANTI which is an alliance of the same akan CLANS OR FAMILIES related by blood ties, common language and culture with one common leader becomes a TRIBE!! A confederacy of homogenous clans or families is what a TRIBE IS!! So ASHANTI is a tribe of AKAN families or clan related by blood ties, common language, traditions and cultures!! Conclusion Tribe is a confederacy of two or more homogeneous clans or families related by blood, culture, traditions and language! If it’s only one homogenous group, it can’t be a tribe but rather is FAMILY OR CLAN but when they comes together they form a TRIBE!!

The Asante Kingdom encompassed parts of the coastal areas, present day Ashanti Region, Former Western Region, Eastern Region and parts of the Northern Region. We are living in an age where information is very easy to come by, go and confirm for yourself if you think I’m telling lies.

@doduabby-rh3pb All the kingdoms you have mentioned were intertwined with most of the kingdoms and tribes in the West African region. They were not distant kingdoms as you imagine and it did not take just a battle to conquer. Some fought and others did not or after the fight bridged themselves with treaties or peace agreements. The Akyems and other Akan allies at a point joined up with the Oyo empire and the Kingdom of Dahomey. Pls read on why they are not part of the Oyo and Dahomey as at now then you’ll understand.
