@zbramble3 жыл бұрын
@@CharlesSzczepanek Well yes! I’ve incorporated the Music & Arts Conservatory of the Southwest and have a small body of students but I’d love to actually have a private institution where students can come to study just music and art! And also fill it with good teachers! So cool what you are doing!! Keep me posted on your orchestra works! You should try writing yourself a tone poem or a little serenade for one of the orchestral choirs. I always enjoy the intimate nature of those particular styles and their ensembles.
@CharlesSzczepanek3 жыл бұрын
@@zbramble That's awesome! Are you teaching mainly composition? Or a variety of things? Thanks for the suggestions! We will see where the orchestral writing goes. I might post it here on KZbin, I started stockpiling sample libraries about 2 years ago, so they'd be midi mock-ups... no real players unless something crazy would happen!

This is the most beautiful arrangement of this piece I have ever heard. I love your harmonies and inner melodies. I’m guessing you are a Rachmaninov lover as I am? :) And this was so exquisitely performed as well. You play with such precision and depth of emotion. You look to have very large hands. Just curious what your reach is?
@CharlesSzczepanek3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Daniel! Yes, love Rachmaninov. In fact, my arrangement of Be Still, My Soul was heavily inspired by bits of his 2nd piano concerto. Considering how big his hands were, mine are pretty “normal” I’d say haha. I have a tenth in both, and can add one to two inner notes depending on the shape. But, I can’t reach a black to white key tenth without rolling, only white to white and white to black!
@sandyrausch19998 ай бұрын
May I please make a request? Please please can you play Cinema Paradiso by Ennio Morricone? I love love that song, one of the best love songs in the world imho. @@CharlesSzczepanek , sì = yes . I ' d like to listen to a normal complete version of Falls , Ennio Morricone
@CharlesSzczepanek2 жыл бұрын
@@federicoboyer1633 haha I’ll take that as a compliment! It seems that The Falls isn’t presented on its own very often. The original is only about 1:45 long and the melody itself is a rather simple statement of one bar that repeats over different chord changes during that time. It’s a beautiful piece of music, but I think the simplicity of it means that it needs some support from something else… either the visual it was originally written for, or more music… which is why I think you find it played alongside Gabriel’s Oboe so often when there isn’t a visual.
