I also love the anime, especially the setting and most of the characters. The only one I have some problem with is Louise as she comes of as a extremely insecure idiot. I know that's the whole character arc of hers given her treatment before Saito came by, but when you have 4 seasons addressing essentially the same arc it becomes taxing. Don't get me wrong love the stories is just that the arc becomes stupid because of those insecurities of hers.

The guy who finished it for him was the author to Blade Dance of the Elementalers, if I remember correctly. The light novel is amazing compared to the anime, but I did love the anime too. It's sad the man died and we won't get anything new from him. Rest in Peace...

This was one of the first 5 animes I ever watched. Ahh, this brings back so many memories. Even though isekai and harem animes have been done to death, there's always something special about your first. The Familiar of Zero is pretty cliched, fairly predictable, and certainly surpassed by later animes I've seen like AoT, Death Note, Madoka Magica, etc. But no matter what, there will always be a place in my heart for this one, my OG harem anime. Great job on this one, you've just taken me back to highschool and reminded me why I fell in love with anime in the first place!

For starters, ZnT is an actual isekai anime, meaning the "other world" thing has actual impact on the story instead of it just being a crutch to introduce the viewer to that "other world" without having to lore dump you, as the protagonist knows as much about this new world as you do, then forgetting there was the protag's original world in the first place. ZnT always has a clear focus on Saito being someone from outside of that world, and him wanting to go back was pretty much the whole point of the first season.

Because Saito is a perverted cheater and Louise is "Taiga" but with Magic powers and 2x more violent (I honestly liked Louise, and was didn't hate Saito enough to drop it, I finished the series but this is why most people drop it. The KissAnime comment section was brewing with hate for these two the whole time, still a bunch of people hated the other Harem girls as well, i.e. me.) Oh ya also because the harem is a bit annoying smh, I still enjoyed it :)

OMG the tear just literally bursts out of my eyes when I hear the first note. The Familiar of Zero, there are so many memories within that anime. (Season 2 is the best btw, not only because of this song)

I'm the opposite of a lot of people here - I only just recently watched this anime. I was very taken with the characters and there were a lot of incredibly emotional parts. I'm not a guy that cries easily or really gets into most anime, but Saito x Louise really affected me. I shed a tear at the end of Season 2, for a boy who accepted his fate to protect the one he truly loves, and a girl who finally realized and acknowledged her feelings.
