I watched the final ep last night. I can't thank you enough for this superb entertainment. When all these wwre first shown we didn't appreciate them as much as we should've. We turn on our tvs now and what they give us is enough to make you weep.

Mr Randell kept calling Margaret his "wife". I thought she said her husband left her a year ago. What did I miss? Perhaps he was referring to her lying & making up stories. I always enjoy a good Francis Durbridge thriller. This is a good romp, although you'll laugh when the villains are uncovered. The follow-up, 'The Local Affair' is a better story of the two.

The senior police officers in this thriller seem somewhat inept, even for the Met Police. One gets a kicking during the burglary of a superintendent's flat and just want's to go home: Meanwhile the burglary isn't mentioned again and we jump to another scene.
