This is so very sad. A beautiful home that looks like it once had loving memories. I can’t believe it’s all been left to rot away. Someone’s belongings. What some absolutely beautiful antiquities left inside this home. I never cease to be amazed at how these places, and belongings, can be just forgotten. These must be someone's relatives, and someone somewhere, must be interested in this. I can only assume that contact must have been lost, at some point, and people sadly, don't know.......

Wow that book from 1807! I know explorers don’t take things left behind but that’s the one thing I would have taken to see if someone could possibly restore it and put it for others to see. Pictures left behind are so heartbreaking.

The frozen chips box at 8:57 has a sell by date of 17/03/2000, and then several of the same type of boxes appear at 10:03. Gives a bit of a date range. Looks like people that lived there were using them to pack stuff up.

12:31 when you swing around after hearing that bang, you look at the bit of window peeking out from the other room (peering through the door opening) - it looks like someone might have ducked from outside the window, could be someone watching you. Could be a trick of light with the camera, but when slowed down it still looks like someone. Then again it could be the camera angle while moving catching something causing an illusion

French inheritance tax is very punitive. It’s why the heirs of these houses in France choose to abandon them. Financialy they have no choice. But why they don’t remove the family’s personal effects is a mystery. Sometimes it’s becos the heirs live in another country.

I used to be a proof reader and if I had a £ for every mistake I find in many comments I would now be very well off! However we have to accept that not everyone is good at English grammar or spelling and many don't care about such things. Just enjoy the video for what it is. 😅
