The 124-year-old godrej group owns 3,400 acres in Mumbai, the most expensive real estate market in the country. Of this, the 3,000-acre parcel in Vikhroli has a development potential of over ₹1 lakh crore.The Vikhroli property was bought by the then group head Pirojsha, brother of founder Ardeshir Godrej, at a public auction, from the Bombay High Court receiver in 1941-42. It was earlier owned by a Parsi merchant Framjee Banaji - who bought it from East India Company in the 1830s.Godrej Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai, which is managed and largely owned by the Godrej family. It was founded by Ardeshir Godrej and Pirojsha Burjorji Godrej in 1897, and operates in sectors including real estate, consumer products, industrial engineering, appliances, furniture, security and agricultural products.[3] Its subsidiaries and affiliated companies include Godrej Industries and its subsidiaries Godrej Consumer Products, Godrej Agrovet, and Godrej Properties, as well as the private holding company Godrej & Boyce Mfg.

Godrej really cares about nature and work environment and yes I also study in Mumbai's one of the finest school i e. Udayachal schools by godrej ans it's one of the greenest and cleanest schools in Mumbai. I'm proud of it ☺️

Yes. Hillside county is a good colony. I stayed there in company quarters for 3months during my training period and I still often stay in Hillside county when I come for meetings in Vikhroli Plant.

If whatever you said is true, I can really understand the pain your uncle has gone through while his land was taken away from him. Because, in Chennai two of the metro stations belongs to my grandfather and while it was taken away with just peanuts of money given to him compared to current market value, he was hurt but stood proud in his heart and said “we are the city and we should give it to the city’s development…this city gave me everything when i came here with nothing. Its painful but fine its for the development and I won’t put a case in the court as I am not gonna take this land to grave”. He passed away recently but those words still echo’s in my mind❤️ he had a golden heart and I bow down with respect for your uncle✌🏻🫡

Forcing people to sell their farmlands and saltpans through coercion under the guise of the Land-Ceiling Act. Even the East-Indian Kolis suffer due to CRZ violations, FSI rules, not allowing us to develop our own properties in gaothans. Today we have almost nothing.

Our company's office is there in Godrej One. People are living in Vikhroli and Godrej colony knows many mysteries of that areas. Once it was notorious for bad people. And must have seen Ghost roaming in night in that area. There are many such incidents in that locality. Those who are living in there for ages, must be knowing and their parents/granny must have told about such.

They are skillfully releasing one single building and each year they increase the price by 1cr. I hope govt concentrate on other regions too and hopefully people will move out of Mumbai bringing down the realty prices. Its artificially inflated the prices are not worth it and too high. Agree. It is artificially inflated. I read it somewhere that there are abt 5 lakh ready to move / semideveloped properties which are unsold, and still rates are not down. Feels as if builders are saying ''take it at my price or leave it''. That's artificial demand creation by reducing supply.
