He is actually not the villain that people claim him to be. Citra, his sister, is actually the real antagonist. He even hinted that his sister is very manipulative to Jason. Basically, he was warning him, and now Jason succumbs to the insanity

Citra even tried to force Jason to kill his friends if he wanted to stay with her. Which Vaas ALSO hinted that he had to kill many people for his sister, and look at him now: he went insane.

21:42 you mention mando improvising stuff, vaas as we know him is pretty much an improvisation The original brief for vaas ws he was meant to be a quiet, timid villain. When mando first got hold of the mic, he disregarded everything the director wanted him to do and made vaas a very aggressive extrovert instead and the rest of the team decided to just run with it. Vaas character was even re-written for mando as a result of his performance. The end result was this fantastic, sociopathic creature in this video and the game. Pretty cool

What would have happened if Vaas never was would be that there wouldn't be so many good villains in far cry . After third one Ubisoft tried to one up their villains .

Depends on what you mean by "good" to a villain. Good candidate to be evil .. or an actual good one turned bad by being wrongly accused by the community. The first type is in FC3 but the second type are in FC4 & in new dawn. Far cry series have such mixtures of these 2 types of villains, common in other game series as well, not just far cry

@@recarunu868 Because of Vaas Ubisoft started making their villains with big personalities. If you look at far cry 2, Jackal had next to zero personality but it made sense because its Jack Carver from the first game and he was basically embodiment of all of the action heroes at the time.

Most people have feelings for Vass as if he was a superhero, savior of mankind or such. In my case, it was opposite When I played Far Cry 3, I didn't like Vass that way ("like" as I'm his biggest fan/ dying to meet him). He was only amazing at making me vengeful and angry from player perspective. It would satisfy me to finish him off in a boss battle while others would shed tears. As a Villain, he is superb but I don't have that kinda feelings what most others would share.

They actually like him in a positive way, a little bit strange but that's their choice, quite a portion of them even express sorrow. get emotional too LOL.. but I get the theory. I just shed light into the standpoint of how I feel about this villain

@@SN4KE3ATER yes "some", this is where I belong too. but there are so many people who keep this anti-hero in a likeable way, like impressed. Vass is anti-hero. I brought the superhero term to point out how many people feel. I even have people from my own community circle who get mad if I say some of the things I want to do to Vass, you know what I mean. There are lots of people around who are like fans with a fan follower type of mindset 😂

miachel mando (vaas) actually was rejected at first because the audition he gave didnt suit the kind of character ubisoft was looking for..but he was so freaking awesome that they had to rewrite the whole game actually, so that miachel could play the role of vaas, he had to voice over 2 times once in french and another time in english... he didnt play vaas..he created it..
