That made me so homesick. My parents , grandparents and great grandparents all farmed in SA. I have been in England for 26 years and am 91but will never forget HOME. We walked for miles, rode for miles and travelled for miles. The solitudeand and peace and wildlife was something the people here will never understand or appreciate. I thank God for his wonderful blessings.

How can you own 4000 acre land shamelessly when millions live in 50 by 50 meter plots. Government must cap land size in accordance with geographical regions and high productive areas should be subdivided

I love you Dimbwe. My parents and Grandparents spoke your language as well as you do and were greatly respected and trusted by your people. Our dearest friends were the African people living on our farm. They did pay for their farms and they allowed the the original owners to live and work with them on the farm. We trusted them so much we never locked our doors even when we went away from home. My father always said "Never try to change a man's beliefs or customs. You will be delighted to hear that when my father was 70 years old the Government took his farm away and gave it back to the Africans. What you are saying makes me feel very sorry for you. This may also make you happy. 18 of my closest relatives (all farmers) were, kllled by Africans and although my husband and I were not farmers we decided to leave and start a new life at the age of 60. Our children had already left. We had to work until we were 80 before we were accepted as citizens here. I thank God for the wonderful life we had in South Africa and I also thank him for the wonderful people he let us live with in South Africa. God bless you and heal your heart and soul. Money and position and possessions are of no importance but a heart full of love is.

So yes, it's time for the country to be fixed again, and for the ANC and its minions to disappear down the drainpipe, never to be seen or heard of again. Once tasted strawberries and cream, there's no returning to dog vomit. The ANC know this well, and are merely stuffing their bloated faces with as much as they can, before the end comes. Ok I'll say what everyone else is thinking. How the hell did South African go from being the most successful country on the continent to a borderline failed state in 28 years? Tribalism and corruption has stripped the country's assets to the bone, how much more load shedding is needed before all of the political parties find a way to sit around a table and agree to see what they can build not just what they can steal? Of course I realise I'm dreaming and South Africa will inevitably go to rack and ruin. It's just too heartbreaking to admit.

I visited South Africa for the first time in 2020, got caught for 5 months in COVIC lock down in Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. I had a blast - what a beautiful landscape of hills and mountains that look like gnarled old men, beaches. The locals were so nice - Dutch Afrikanners were as good looking as Nordic Swedes but friendly, not stuck up. Beautiful infrastructure, malls - lots and lots of honest, hard working young people from neighbor hooding countries like Zimbabwe. The political, crime, electrical "problems", "issues" are obviously very bad but not unexpected. What did you expect offering full "democracy" to a multi racial, multi tribal, multi religious society with tens of millions of illiterate poor people who will of course go for Communist scams to steal from the rich to give to the poor - that happened in Zimbabwe and look what followed - economic, social collapse. I've followed the small success of Orania - good for them. But, have SA locals of all races, ethnic groups, tribes, merchants consider a British East Indian Company "The Company" model, this was before India became a formal British colony? Under this "Corporate" model farm land isn't owned by individual (White) farmers instead it's owned by "the Company" and "the Company" can cut in Black, ANC pols for some share ownership so these lazy folks don't have to work real jobs. There will be very large agribusinesses with (White) farm managers and decently paid, fed farm workers - nobody will starve and there will be basic health care so the farm workers don't contract AIDS or Ebola. Also the British East India Company "The Company" employed private para military armies to defend the property and people in "The Company". I'm pretty damn sure lots of Zulu warriors in Natal would really enjoy being trained as Gurkha type paramilitary soldiers with the best British and Dutch officers. The Zulus are a warrior tribe, not really suited as full time farmers or merchants - leave that to the Asians. And folks, lots stop just spreading doom, gloom and despair. British and Dutch South Africans are a tough people - the British Empire put Dutch Afrkianners in concentration camps during the Boer war, OK, so it's not like you people haven't ever had it tough. God bless all the good people of all races and tribes, ethnic groups in beautiful South Africa - please privatize your electricity, rail and airplane services ASAP.

South Africa is slowly being surpassed by Kenya as the most developed and well managed country in Africa. If care is not taken, south Africa will continue to deteriorate. When black s. Africans took over from white power, they came in with psychological scars. Those are not scars that heal overnight and white s. Africans must come to terms with this FACT. The cry about corruption is a lame excuse because corruption is everywhere including the US and most of Europe. There's corruption also in Kenya but Kenya has been able to thrive and move forward regardless. The problem with SA is that white s. Africans expect black s. Africans to magically turn things around overnight. I'm sorry to tell you the truth but do not even expect things to turn around in 20 or 50 years if black and white cannot work together and keep tabs on each other. The reason why Kenya is surpassing SA is this: The white people that remained in Kenya did not flee the country or continue to oppress the Africans. The white people that chose to remain after independence kept a distance and many of them continued to run businesses in tourism, hospitality and agriculture behind the scenes. Over the years their children became first generation Kenyans and to this day, many of them still live in Kenya and many are mistaken to be tourists. With SA, the white people chose to flee the country thinking that Europe was the best place for them but thirty years later they are now crying because they miss home. I'm a black Kenyan that has lived in Africa, Europe, the US and Australia and I can tell you for a fact the there is no place on this earth that compares to Africa. Africa has many sons and daughters OF OTHER RACES and most of us Africans have come to terms with that fact. Whether you are white, Arab or Indian and your original home was in Africa YOU ARE AN AFRICAN. It's never too late to return. Just come back home and live peacefully. You can thrive in the background regardless of corruption.

To protect The people from criminal activities and over population and and and you can lately notice why you had your own little countries called homelands. You even had to show your passports to enter South African cities as you were hired to work in the towns and your houses, schools and hospitals and other infrastructure were built for you T a very low cost for you because you had no previous education about 100 years before you moved closer - to be able to live. Apartheid was then started when your chieves had to look after your infrastructure in your homelands administered by white taxpayers’ moneys. Today’s government has absolutely ruined this country.
