I have had three outdoor stoves in the past twenty years. Burned all varieties wood. The one that surprised me was tamarack. It cut easy and produced almost as much heat as oak. Plus it smelled like Christmas! Like the scent of a fresh cut Christmas tree. It is full of pitch which produces a quick and very hot burn.
@johnemery9634 Жыл бұрын
Yup I mix it in with hard maple. Not to much. It can burn your stove out. Its hot stuff

Hello Joe you certainly keep yourself fit building the guest cabin and cutting and stacking those logs. Apparently birch rots from the inside. Even standing trees don't show it until they are cut. Those heaters are widely known over here in the UK 🇬🇧. They look awesome but logs aren't easy to find in towns here either. I used to work around forests and speaking to the forest rangers is how I found out about birch and the other species. All the best to you both for Christmas and the New Year. 🎄🎄🎅🤶

if you use a floor jack and jack up the rear end so the tires are off the ground and put your machine in neutral it makes it allot easier to put the chains on. also, if the chains feel loose check your tire pressure. they might be low.

It looks rather normal in your neck of the woods for this time of the year. But you all actually get snow and lots of it. We do get the occasional big snows (Big around her is 6-8") but we also get a lot of freezing rain and sleet. Never fun driving conditions. Most do not get chains so when the "blizzards" blow in it incapacitates us badly. But since Covid-19 things have changed for a lot of people. Schools and many businesses just work from home or schools do work over the internet.
